Play for Play-sake!

Play is a state of being that is intrinsically enjoyable. It energizes and invigorates us. It eases our burdens, renews a natural sense of optimism and opens us up to new possibilities. True play is its own reward. It is undertaken voluntarily and most times, enthusiastically. It is often a form of self-expression and is always pleasurable. Play, whether experienced directly, (participation), or vicariously, (observation), is completely absorbing. Play is more than just something we do for amusement. It is an exploratory bedfellow to creation and innovation. I believe play is necessary for both personal happiness and the positive evolution of our species.

This collaboration is about taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. Anything can be a toy depending on your perception. Video of any form of play is welcome, but bonus points to anyone who takes something which has a less playful commonly perceived use and turns it into a toy. Also welcome are writing about play, drawings, and any other form of media that really embodies play for you. Let's show each other the real magic of our world. Everything is beautiful and when someone takes an object or creature and does something unexpectedly beautiful with it, it inspires and brings smiles to everyone in that bubble.
