The Story of one…

1 was a lonesome number.
But he was strong, and independent
with him he could divide other numbers, and with his help
they became whole again.
But at the end of the day,
he was still 1.

Then one day lo and behold he came
across another 1, and she stood there
strong willed, with presence that filled the room
with vibrant energy.

The two stood, and for a moment, they had forgotten
about themselves and together, they became 2 of one spirit,
one flesh, and of one heart.

Their minds entangled, of desire, passing knowledge,
and thoughts of a kindred spirit.

The force between them could move mountains
it’s as if no one could break them.
But then 1 decided to separate from her, and the 2
were no longer 1, they were just 1.

And they went their separate ways feeling lost within themselves.
Hoping that one day they could become 1 as a whole again.
