I’ve been thinking about starting this collab for a while now and I’m finally sitting down and doing it and it’s my very first! Yay!

I basically wanted to start this collab because I love the look of illuminated manuscript.  I think that this style of typography would be a great resource for a lot of our projects here on hitRECord.  You could go the traditional route as seen in The Book of Kells (example below), ancient Bibles and other religious texts.  Or you could take a modern approach, whatever works for you.  I would like to see this collab produce a wide variety of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, roman numerals, Chinese and Japanese characters, and the list goes on and on.  You can use any medium of your choosing, paint, ink, pencil, digital, paper cut, whatever you want! It can be as elaborate or as simple as you choose. Each record should only include one, maybe two letters max. That way they are easily remixable and interchangeable. It would also be a great help to upload your file with a transparent background if possible. Well, I hope that you all have a great time making these records and I can’t wait to see your results!!
