The idea came about as I was trying to convince my daugther to eat her pot stickers (home-made, gluten free). She refused until I told her that they were special pot stickers. That each one allowed her to make a wish. I made up a ritual that goes something like this:

  1. Finish a pot sticker.

  2. Put hands together, palms facing each other.

  3. Open hands a tiny bit and whisper your wish into it.

  4. Then throw your wish into the air where the wish fairies are waiting to catch it.

Sure enough, she ate all her serving and we had pot stickers for the next 2 days.

I thought the Wish Fairies would be a great children's illustrated book for picky eaters.
