Let's make some Monster Mashups!

Check out the monster part sheets in the featured album below. They consist of a handful of collected parts from other RECorders on the site (resourced on the parts' sheets) alongside a handful of my own illustrations. I tried to keep the parts in black & white and in similar styles for ease of monster creation/reMIXs but also in the hopes of producing a collection of Monsters that would look like they belonged in the same world.

You aren't limited to just these parts, they are just to help get you started. The main idea here is to make monster mashups - monsters created mixed and matched with parts of other monsters on the site. I did NOT include a sheet of bodies as I think that would be too much limitation to the diversity of the creatures you create. You designing the body/shape  yourself will add even more of your personal flavor to your monster creation. For the same reason, there are no sheets for noses, ears, eyebrows, whiskers, and other additions to add personality - so have at it!

Upload/Contribute your monsters in Black and White first, but then feel free to color and upload that version as well. Also consider adding your favorites to adhgraphicdesign's "Monster City" (663668).

[ This collaboration was inspired by "build a character (faces)" (928961) by sojushots as well as a huge handful of monsters I have been working with during my "Motion Monster" series (1039562). ]

***UPDATE: There is now a "Monster Mashup" MASTER sheet available (1076552) Which contains ALL the parts' sheets together as well as all the RESOURCE numbers are now noted in blue for ease of resourcing the exact parts you use in your monster creations. If a part does not have a number next to it then it was an illustration I did myself specifically for that sheet and all you need to do is resource the MASTER sheet (1076552) or the parts' sheet you are working from. Thank you for being through in your resourcing, it makes it easier for the hitRECord crew to connect the dots if your monster eventually ends up in an end-product, as well as it gives the parts' artists the heads up to check out a reMIX they inspired. This Community RULES!!!
