I WISH: For people to have a look at this, that's all. It took me months and I could have been arrested while filming it. :D And I'm really proud of my Island's own little X-File and I want to share the (possibly true?) story.
I need to thank Metaphorest for helping me scan the original poem, first of all. Sbambrick for this beautiful music. Todd for the great collab and especially for his AWESOME voice over! What an incredible job!

Hey - I'm sure everyone here knows that RegularJOE was in New Orleans and China shooting a new film with Bruce Willis called Looper. It is directed by Rian Johnson - who is also a hitRECorder (rcjohnso).
I think it would be a good idea for us to prepare our own documentary / artistic contribution in advance of the release, and I am creating this collab to serve as a repository for all works concerning the subject of time travel.
There are lots of RECords you can make on this topic - here is a list of ideas to get you started:
- Poetry. Write something creative on time travel.
- Scripts. Write a script to the documentary you'd like to see us make. Write a script to a scene from the documentary. ETC...
- RESEARCH - put your scientific mind to work and come up with some bang-em-up, top notch research concerning the concept of space-time and time travel. Use equations if you must. Cite your sources in the standard way. People can use this work to further develop ideas and conduct additional research that delves deeper into a specific element of your work. No reason at all why hitRECord can't be a think tank as well as a place for artistc commeraderie. Can you think of a better place for open discussion and peer review? I can't!
- Drawings - Paintings. Collages. Remember Dali's "Time?" Do stuff like that. Or draw / paint whatever you are moved to draw / paint concerning time travel.
- Video. Wide open topic here. You can collect public domain resources and contribute the clips that apply. You can create "looping" videos about you being stuck in time (ala groundhog day, as an example). You can produce a short film on one of the research topics from number 3 above. I could go on and on - but you know what I'm talking about so I'll leave it at that for now.
- MUSIC!!! Create it from scratch or contribute what you already have. Think on time travel, or one of the contributions to this collab, or the film Looper - and write something musical and contribute it.
- SOUND FX - create them yourself, or contribute public domain resources.
I'm thinking our documentary can be anything - although I am leaning towards the idea of one about the history of science and media concerning time travel.
Don't let your understanding of Rian Johnson's script restrict your artistry - feel free to contribute anything - you never know where it might lead.
I'm not creating this collab for ME to complete the project, but I will be here to see it through to the end. I'm thinking this can be a centralized location for Joe and Rian to come to in order to produce a hitRECord contribution to the DVD, like in Inception. On the other hand - I see no reason at all why this can't be completed entirely by hitRECorders without any outside assistance and handed to Rian on a silver platter for him to add to the DVD as is.
SO - there it is. I look forward to your contributions.
