CALLING ALL VISUAL ARTISTS & MUSICIANS: LET'S MAKE A SHORT FILM FOR THIS MAGICAL WINTER SONG! Nathan and Katie of FauxFix RECorded a song in The REC Room at Sundance entitled "Little Smokestacks." It's a beautifully atmospheric song about that magical time in winter when the days are disintegrating and there's a short period of time where the sun is going down and night is rising. And we're going to make a NEW SHORT FILM for this track! Listen to the Reference Mix of "Little Smokestacks" here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1178732 == Here's how you can contribute to this collaboration: ILLUSTRATORS: Draw visuals for the song. They can be landscapes, characters, or entirely abstract - be as creative as you'd like! ANIMATORS: Take visuals from this collaboration - and throughout the site - and begin to put them into motion. CINEMATOGRAPHERS: Grab your cameras and shoot some winter imagery that's inspired by the song. VIDEO EDITORS: Start cutting together visuals from the site to the Audio Record. Check out the "RE: Snow" collaboration for some wintery resources: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1117165 VOCALISTS: Sing some harmonies or RECord yourself singing "Ooh"s and "Ahh"s so they can be remixed together to simulate the sound of breath. INSTRUMENTALISTS: It'd be great to have some Electronic Beats added, in addition to other Instruments and Sound Effects. CURATORS: Compile Albums of any audio/visual resources that you think would be great for this Short Film. == Thanks! |
