Now, looking at the stills I've uploaded; for the most part it looks like it's for the tourist board.

Lots of London. Hooray for London!

Hooray, the miracle of sunshine has happened to London and while it lasts I'm glad to be filming at high vantage points for work so I can get pictures like this of the London Eye. I would of been happy to stay there the whole afternoon and take pictures of the shadows moving across the green but apparently it doesn't count as work.

This is one of the pictures that I took at Kew Gardens in London.
I'd gone to the butterfly house with the intention of taking pictures to enter into a photography competition I'd heard about. It turns out I should bother to read fine print in future as captive creatures are not accepted.
I like how the pictures turned out and I hope they'll find a home on here instead.

A photo of my fair city of London taken last night. I live in London but not central. In fact, so not central I may technically live in Middlesex. But what I love is that even living this far out it doesn't take much to get to the centre and do something random and unusual. For example, I just spent the evening on a Spooky Bus Tour of London - includes storytelling, a funeral bus and actors running around hysterically. Oh, and a tour of London while they're at it.
So, that's what a city is to me.
Always having something to do or see.

The South Bank Skate Park under Queen Elizabeth Hall that has been used by skaters and BMX bikes since the 70's. There was a bit of a scare a couple of years ago when it was announced that it was going to be closed and turned into shops. So far all is well but who the hell wants a Starbucks when you can watch this?

Rewatched Brothers Bloom, great movie by the way and one part got me digging out my pin hole camera pictures. Yes, a beer can makes a great camera.

Speaking of Brothers Bloom, I can't believe I hadn't spotted all of the hitRECorder cameos in that movie the first time round.

Sister

I've just been organising some stuff and came across this picture that I took of my little sister when I was back in college. I'd just bought a Pentax film camera from a junk shop and had become obsessed with black and white photography. My sister was being my model for the day and I took this laying on the ground underneath the swing and trusted that she wouldn't boot me in the face on the way back down. That's what sisterly love is. Not booting each other in the face.

One of the best things I've gone to in Bristol, the city of my birth.
Sure I queued for over five hours without anyone I know with me, no mp3 player, no book and or anything to keep occupied - but it was still a great day. Made random friends with strangers, the queue passed by an ice cream van at one point and there was a busker so terrible people started singing along to help him out (don't worry we still gave him money for our karaoke).
And yes, people - that is Ronald McDonald on a ledge with some whiskey.
Welcome to Bristol!

I personally (and I doubt I'm alone here) find this view beautiful.
It is a view from a building where I go to film often and it always blows me away. Many people in the building though keep their blinds shut rain or shine and never seem to notice it.
I hope I never get to that point.

My phone and headphones - Under Pressure was played last.
A half formed short idea script that I keep scribbling all over.
My Oyster travel card.
An oragami crane. I haven't made one for ages so it's been in there quite a while.
My keys with a keyring. I got it from an art project when I was at uni. You walk into a booth, which has ready-made keyrings hung floor to ceiling and a table in the middle with the raw materials on. You can take a keyring if you make a keyring and leave it in its place. I left behind "You have all the personality of a wet wick on bonfire night" Such a polite girl.
My prepaid card for the Fujian White Crane Kung Fu club of London. This flimsy piece of paper represents £90.
And a little cash.

Hidden_t-shirt

A t-shirt arrived today that I would tie my hair up for - hence the pulling back the curtains pose.

Taking this photo gave me the idea for a hitRECord store photo that I cannot take myself. We need a man in one of these t-shirts, also wearing a shirt, jacket, tie and specs doing, yes - you guessed it, a superhero opening shirt to reveal the 'costume' pose.
It totally counts as a superhero costume.

I'm getting all excited about the London hitRECord at the Movies and I was just looking at some photos from the last time I was being snap-happy on the Southbank and this stuck out for me. It's painted onto the side of the Oxo Tower not far from the BFI venue. Seems quite appropriate to me.

Hedgehog_eats

I went to visit my family in Somerset and found that there is a family of hedgehogs in the back garden that my parents nightly leave food out for and which they show up for like clockwork. It may get to the point where they start knocking on the back door with requests. This photo is of one of the babies.

I have no idea why I'm uploading this photo as it probably won't be of any use to anybody but things have happened lately which meant that I haven't been contributing anything, so this is just the first step back.

And hedgehogs are cute.

Anna%20&%20nat%20(halloween)

I love Halloween and always do something to mark it. On the night I'm doing one of two things; I'm either out with friends and in costume or I am at home watching horror movies with occasional pauses to answer the door to give out sweeties to trick or treaters.

This is a picture of me with my friend Red and is one of my previous year's costumes in which I dressed up as the female Mad Hatter. As part of my costume I even had a pocket watch that was broken. Not a problem though. I just said "Of course it tells the right time! It will be correct twice today!" I'm method, damn it.

There are no plans this year so I will be carving pumpkins, watching horror movies and dishing out sweets. Still trying to decide what movies will be a part of my marathon though.

For CaptClare's 'Signs' collab. This sign is from a trip to China that I went on a couple of years ago with the martial arts club that I belong to. We were staying and training in the mountains in the Fujian Province. I took a lot of photos of that trip and I just thought the English translation of the road nearby was beautiful. The road sits between two mountain faces and every morning mist covered it.

During one afternoon which we had free I went exploring the various paths in the national park nearby. It made me laugh. It is accurate. Up the mountain it went.
