Sugartown Traders is a brilliant video. It made me laugh and it was super well done. I truly enjoyed it. And I loved the introduction to it when Joe is just casually talking to the guys on the corner. It's always great to see stuff like that. Great job, boss man!
Buy Things is a great contribution to the spring collection commercial collab. It made me laugh and had some great sound editing. It's a great example/start for people to run off of.
Cool story, bro is freaking awesome! Meta, you are s.o good at these emotion videos, and this one made me laugh so much! Brilliant job, you beautiful woman!
Love and Sea was a greatly edited video by Scarlet. I loved it. You are teaching yourself well.
Shadow Circles is ANOTHER brilliant image by fractaldust that has become my desktop background. I think all image editors can learn a lot from her! Check out this colorful work!
In Her Colors is a great tiny story by phenomenaaaa. I would encourage all of you to check out this woman's stuff. She is highly inspirational and creative.
The Prize (jox). Man, oh man. Who would have thought that the boss man can rap? This is a brilliant little ditty that I listen to over and over again. It's so awesome! I love the spanish in it as well.
and what if... by wirrow. I love listening to everything to wirrow says. He is intelligent, inspirational, and super adorable. Plus, I am determined that one of these days, he will remember who I am when he talks to me. This record is awesome because he says a bunch of stuff that I have thought over and over again.
Garden Choir remix is a beautifully remixed image that I wouldn't mind hanging up on my wall. I love the way it looks. Check it out, friends.
Slow Dancing in a Burning Room is SUPER awesome. THat's all I have to say about it.

Klepto-cross-dressing horror shot in Lawrence, Kansas on the 4th of July with Mysterious Skin novelist Scott Heim We RECorded this July 4th, 2003. Dan helped me put up the first iteration of hitRECord.org on May 7, 2005. All it was was a page with the hitRECord.org logo and a link to download a quicktime video of this RECord. This was before YouTube was much of a thing, you see, so if you wanted to put a video up on the internet, you needed your own website.
So here, on hitRECord's fourth anniversary, I'm reReleasing it on v3:
*
7 may 2005 Since Scott Heim set his novel, Mysterious Skin, in Kansas, where he grew up, and I had never been there, I figured I should go, and he should show me around. I brought my video camera because Gregg wanted to see the real life places that inspired the book and thus the script, and because, even though Scott insisted there was no such thing as a Kansas accent, I wanted to record people talking in Kansas accents. And because I generally feel more comfortable when I know the video camera [...incomplete, bad data migration :o( ]
Lava Tornado made music. RayPerez sampled it and rapped over it. I added some drums, sang along to a hook, and yes, dropped a second verse.
Hip hop is so conducive to hitRECord, or perhaps hitRECord is conducive to hip hop. Either way, if we can do something this good without even trying, imagine what we might make when we try again! Whether it's a new song, or another remix of this one.
I also recorded video that'll sync with the drums and the hook vocals. Get that shit up soon, son. And I'll put a zip file up too that should have all the raw audio etc...
...in Spring!

Firstly, I want to say that this was done with nothing but love. When I released the feigning interest vid a few months back, some people thought it would be funny to remix it in with other videos. When Joe released this record about re-RECs, someone suggested I use that video, so I did and kind of hung on to it for a while. I revisited it tonight, refined some of the edits and voila! It's meant to be funny, so I hope no one takes offense at all. I love making re-REC albums and have been diligently releasing them for months.
teaching myself avid studio + beardo footage + amferraro music = :)
