circuitous : (of a route or journey) longer than the most direct way

again, still working on this. I'll finish adding the bursts of colour when I'm done developing the next several sequences. this is really turning out to be my most ambitious animation yet, hah! :D at some point i'm pretty sure I'll learn how to draw a circle

I think, in all, it should be about a minute long when I'm done, but that depends on what kind of stuff I add later.

the next step is a tree growing up out of the RECycle sign, splitting off, and then... something.

1st two stanzas... I have to redo the intro to accommodate the change in style, but my hand's all crampy right now, and I'd really like some feedback on what I've got.

seems like every time I try to tackle something big like this I'm reminded how much of a novice I really am at this stuff. (especially when there are so many incredibly talented people here *cough*Marielv*cough*)

ahem. every time i watch this it gets more terrible. I spent a week working on it, went a long way to making myself blind before thirty, and have been rendering it for the past three days.

plus my stupid crosshatching style is awful for animating, I've recently found out.

circulation~ [first part of first draft of first idea] [that means this isn't done yet >_>]

bit different, 'cause I did it all with pen and no pencil sketches. (so it's not all that gloriously well planned)

thought it fit into IrmaVep's beautiful (and very linear) images with more cohesion. we are circuitry as much as we are circulation, created out of connected dots, all by inspiration or accident. 

I've run out of paper, so this is all I can do until I get more. I'd love some feedback before I continue, though. :) colour for one thing.

this needs some music too! anybody got suggestions? :D

Success! I've been cleaning my room, and going through old CD's, and found this animation I a few years ago in high school. MattConley's tiny story made me think of it, and I'm so glad that I managed to find it again. I might edit pamagotchi's gorgeous reading over it later, but for now, here. :)

well this was tons of fun. I'd used Flash before, but never motion tweens or in such detail, so it was an experiment, which (I dunno about you) but I think it's pretty awesome.

I recycled my tree from the circulation animation, since I already had it. :D

no sound, high-resolution for remixingsssss. :D

cos the other one got really grainy... :<

thanks to Day Glo for his feedback. :) my dad also gave me some feedback, so the animation now has:

*more leaves rustling

*more owl rustling

*a longer pause at the end

*some blinking

and a few other bits to make it less static in some parts. :D

no audio, because I can't make the audio go directly into Flash in any way that makes sense, and the video gets so compressed when I import it to iMovie... :C

rotoscoping! :D first time trying it, biiig project planned for blbest's "Wandering Hands" dialogue tale. this is the start. I really like uploading unfinished animations.

 anyway, I'm probably gonna cut some of the interum frames, both because the result is slower than I want, and also because it takes sooo looooong. although I might have been a bit overexcited about the shading.

in the end, I wanted the "wandering hands" to be this perspective, animated, and the other participant to be live action, with little animated icons of the dialogue bopping around the face. it might work. :D

I'd like it if someone could record that side of the conversation? the way I picture it in my head is just as a conversation over coffee, but it could be anything. <3

I'm leaving the country tomorrow, so while I'll be drawing, I probably won't be uploading them as much (or just in big, overwhelming chunks of landscapes :'D) so this is a little 'ttfn' kinda record I've been sitting on.

I love all of A Copy Of A Copy's illustrations, but the one I wanted to remix first was King's Ghost. he just looks so sad and lonely. 

this isn't the most brilliantly planned out animation I've ever made, but apparently trying to animate during the work week is a terrible idea. go figure. :D I have ideas for 2 other animations I'm gonna start ont eh weekend.
