My first RE-REC album! I'm excited.

  •   joe sketch remix, by Proi - I love count's "quick joe sketch," and Proi's remix has a great feel to it-- very fitting for vinyl. This one-- or a remix thereof-- has my vote for the album cover. :-) (Edit: And it's featured! Nice.)

  • Futurebook, by Metaphorest- A tiny story that's both sad and hopeful. I love the paper texture and tree image she chose.

  • my heart carries stones, by amferraro- I love this song. There's a couple of remixes out there (and I, at least, have another in the works), but I just wanted to highlight it in case it inspires anyone else, whether for an audio remix or for use in a video.

  • hitRECord Choir Sings hitRECord Acapela, by todd68976- I'm pretty new to the site, and this is the first large-scale collaboration I've been part of. I'm excited to sing with all of you via the wonders of the internet. :-) Todd has put in a lot of work already, and it looks and sounds great! I especially love the inclusion of the signing and the little girl, especially her "shh!" at the end. Add your voice!

  • more RAW FOOTAGE for the prize, by rayperez- This is great stuff-- really chill, different kinds of shots, looks good. It sounds like Joe's going to get some footage of his part when he gets the chance-- I can't wait to see this all put together.

  • Who are you?, by MoiSanom- Interviews! I've been reading through them, and they're great. I am of the opinion that everyone should do one when they get the chance. :-)


Albums:



  • Site Development, by Marke- It's easy to forget that the site is constantly being revised and improved, and Marke has been kind enough to give us some sneak peeks into what's coming. I'm particularly excited about the planned redesigns for Conversations and the Drawer. A lot of the things I've thought, "Wouldn't it be great if..." about are in there! It's also interesting to look back at proposed changes and see how many of them have already been implemented.

If you are not part of the choir, it means you either did not sing at Joe's direction, or you didnt sing in key with Chigwinkle's RECord (or both), or you had excessive noise in your RECording.  You may also have spoken the words or played an instrument - I wanted this one to be strictly acapela. 


I tried to retune as many RECords as possible, but some wouldn't re-tune sensibly.  If you still want to be part of the choir it is not too late!  Simply follow Joe's lead, and sing in the same key as Chigwinkle.  BE SURE TO LISTEN TO THE AUDIO BY HEADSET while you are RECording - we don't want the sound of Joe or Chigwinkle bleeding over to YOUR RECording.


I'll re-do this next week sometime, which should give those still wishing to contribute time to do so.

i got some friends to help me shoot more raw footage of my dancing and lip syncing to "the prize," this is of a much higher quality, left unedited so that it can be remixed in any way, DP credit goes to Emmanuel Montelongo of http://www.NibiruProductions.com and my homies in the shot are Alex Duberney, Benjamin Cantu, and Micheal Vincent Ochoa , i hope this footage is of use, and i can't wait to see some remixes. I did my part, now come on get on it! haha!
