This is my visual design concept for the amoeba event. My idea was based on how to integrate amoeba logo and existing RECollection artwork seamlessly in a fun indie way. I wanted to include many more characters but the deadline is too short..Hope you all like it..

Marke goes street! What started with me just wanting to do a tiny stories pattern hoodie became this remix. Haha..

Tiny stories inspired rap, anyone? :o)

Few mentioned the pattern should be inside lining of a bookcover and some say gift wrapping from the pattern. I say REMIX both idea and we get this. Now I really want this on my coffee table!! :o)

I love what Eskapurla did with the propaganda poster. So this is my take on the propaganda poster. Even a dog believe in tiny stories.

Just a poster that I came up with using records from illustrated history collaboration project.

Can someone tell me which other collaboration should I drop this to?

I am not in the closet about my well organized closet. Organization method? Preferably by bone density.

My visual interpretation of Matt Conley's As It Were tiny story. I was inspired by children's ability to let their imagination run wild with a such simple everyday object.

This actually applies to all hitrecorders when looking at simple records like a plain doodle or even a ditty or musical chords, we should let our imagination run wild and use those records to make bigger and better things.

Concept art for tiny book of tiny stories vol 1 book cover. I wanted the book cover to have a similar feel to tiny book of tiny stories 2010's cover but also make it so that the composition would work for subsequent volume as a series of collectible books. In subsequent volume, it would have different tiny stories' images bursting out from the same book.

NOTES: i will edit this further once we know what stories are selected. For now, these are some of my favorite illustrations/stories. Just one more thing, I wil try to animate this too..:) and make some pattern..

Just inked and added a bit of shading and contrast to motolokiev's illustration, just to give a dreamy look.

I wasn't going to do frame 6 but saw melonberri's drawings..couldn't resist myself..!!

This is my take on Frame 5. I used the intricate drawings of carnagie hall architecture ( interior and exterior) to symbolize the "grandest of dreams". Grandest of dreams deserved to be cinematic!

I have no IDEA how I did this but I DID IT! I made Frame 4 worked using only existing drawings!

Frame 7 Mega Mix is a LOT tougher to work on than Frame 8! Underestimated the amount of work needed to execute the concept but I think this works!. I put Joe, Jared and Marke larger than life because they are "overseeing" the REC room event. (Also because I ran out of spaces in the REC room!.. Joe's script requirement had 20++ people). Besides, it's comical in a way to see Jared stressed out organizing this event..

Alright, here's revised illustration to the Illustrated History of hitRecord Frame 8: Mega Mix.

Revision:-

1) Changed Joe's face to his preferred look.

2) Lift up the clouds and universe higher to make more space for the crowds.

3) I have included a lot more hitrecorder faces in it. This is as much as I can pack it in. If you see your face here, kindly recommend this record. :). For those that I have left out, i am sorry..I really would like to fit as much as i can..but space is scarce. Let's focus our time and effort on other frames..

A little obsessed with the shadow caste characters that I have made a pattern background based on it. Would make a cool Ipad/iphone cover or even simple sketchbook cover.

Next up, I am going to make a pattern based on tiny stories characters, going to pack in as many characters/illustrations..would be totally cool..

Sometimes you can be in a room full of people, and yet feel very much alone..

Here's a pattern background dedicated to tiny stories book. I tried to include illustrations from the tiny stories as much as possible. Also, note that this pattern is perfectly seamless and can be tile-able over and over again to form even larger infinite pattern in photoshop. In fact, I have vectorized all the illustrations so we can even make blow it into a enormous art canvas in the future if we need to.

After spending hours on this. I might just have tiny stories nightmare when I sleep tonight. :)

This visual can be interpreted as the gentleman way or the saucy way. Nothing is sexier than a pair of lighting legs wearing heels. Please "heart" this if you want to see more of papercut stories.

PS: From far, the legs actually look like lightning bolts.

Obviously I am having too much fun making tiny stories cut out. Even if they don't get selected as final artwork, at least I am a happy girl! :)

This is REmix RECord using bryn_haz's story and eNgma's drawing. I tweaked the strawberry to become an apple. I think this image is good enough to capture reader's attention without giving too much away.

One day before breakfast, an orange rolled off the counter and escaped its fate, bouncing happily through the kitchen door.

This record is a response to Metaphorest's amusing Pelican collaboration which I have just discovered and adore! I went through all my old records and found that most of them are in black/white which is very unlike me. Needed to do something in color so badly and here you go!

The mumble bee had a fuzzy buzz. When he tried to say 'honey', it came out all funny...

This is for the sleepyhead tiny story's request. inspired by the propaganda baby poster, I put these babies into hitrecord pattern jammies and turn them into insomniac. Maybe they are planning a revolution.

PS: Mini Maxx makes a special cameo appearance in this tiny story.

Ok my first silhouette animation done in after effects! Please be kind. It took me 3 days to go over tutorials and figure things out.

If you like this, I will do more of it in the future. I think this format is great for shadow caste and many more..

PS: thanks to Day_Glo for doing the voiceovers.

My 2nd animation on hitrecord (in after effects). I know miss marielv uploaded a "way better" animation of this but hey thought I can do this to practise my newly acquired after effects skill. This version, I made the clouds flow continously like a river (after all joe is in a boat). This animation is about 1 min long and can be loop seamlessly over and over again. I didn't put any music because I thought someone can come out with a music loop or even a full composition.

PS: hmm maybe row your boat song collab might work for this, any thoughts? any other comments/critique?

This is the character design for the stalker. I feel doodling style works best to capture the comedic vibe.

The one on the left is the cute and sweet version of the secret admirer while right is the creepy version. I imagine that the character will take off his clothes  and stick out his tongue in creepy manner during the "scary" animation.

I will create "Rebecca" character later and work these characters to match the screenplay.

I have done this drawing in solid white background vector format and even separate the limbs, eyes, body parts into different layers so that animation process is easier. Kindly ignore the wrinkly paper background as this is just to visualize how it will look when it's composite against a blank envelope.

Not completely satisfied with the version 2 where joe's face was a little bit sad looking. So, added a pair of sunnies and made joe smile.

I swear RECollection is made for my living room. Or my living room is made for RECollection. Match made in heaven!

PS: RECollection has made it down under!

Test animation for strawberry bootlaces. Making joe black/white and limit the background colour to 5 color throughout the animation gives the overall film a consistent look. I will try and incorporate other artist's work in similar fashion later.

With Jana's help (she's god sent), I was able to make the strawberry bootlaces packet less floaty and seamless on joe's hand. I have integrated her work as well as did some masking on the earlier scene. I also substituted the old packet with melonberri's work. The rest of animation remains the same.

Love the self portrait work by gutterflower. Thought it would make a great tank for the ladies.
