I'm either lazy or thematic this week. I'm going to group these RECords into why I chose them.
The Audio RECords: World Spins Around by Dwayne Wegley, A Windy Song by eaneikciv, and If You Called by Matthew Vitticore are the kind of music I love. They're slow, soothing, with beautiful lyrics.
The Graphic RECords: Red by F.M.Gore-Kelly, All Hail the Queen by Hati and Frankenstein's Bride by punkagogo are all awesome tweaks on classic stories or fairytales and they're exquisitely well done. I love a good Fractured Fairy Tale.
The Text RECords are not quite as grouped. Sunday by Metaphorest is exactly how I feel every Sunday evening and I think I'm going to memorize it and say it every Monday morning.
How it all began (Dearth...by ruffedges is another excellent example of his amazing writing and you should all read it and thrill to it.
Zucchini Boats and Sugar...by SparksOverEmbers is beautiful as it digs right down deep into childhood, memories and families and twists the knife and soothes the soul.
someone else's shoes...by C.McCarthy is just clever and lovely and so Tiny Story-ish.
This is a song I started working on yesterday, it is FARRR from finished. I was being lazy and didn't feel like moving my computer over to the piano, so i just recorded it with my iPad's internal microphone and the quality is terrible, but I wanted to upload it to see if it sparks any more lyric ideas from anyone here, I'm kind of stuck for the time being. I was at my grandpa's farm this weekend a little before sunset, it was really windy and beautiful, the way the grass was blowing reminded me of the sea, so I kind of went from there. I have a few other ideas going around my head right now, but any new ideas for lyrics are more than welcome! i kind of feel like this verse belongs in the middle of the song, but i haven't really decided yet. i'm also planning to have a "windy" section towards the end of the song full of harmonizing oohs and ahhs, i guess that's my favorite thing to do here lately.
I am the king of run-on sentences.

If You Called
by Matthew Vitticore
I waited for someone
To tell me the truth
But no one stepped forward
So I asked you
I asked you
I crawled back
Into the belly of the beast
Me the damsel
You the hero
You the hero
And somewhere down the line
I could be the one
For you
I may have to prove
In a battle to the death
For the world’s definition
Of success
And somewhere down the line
I could be the one
(For you)
On the open sea
I saw Edmund
I saw Eugene
I saw Mary
I saw my parents
I saw my brothers
In the same dream
And somewhere down the line
I could be the one
For you
