once upon a time, tia fischer asked me to work on her song, so i added piano, strings and bells. the end.
my most ambitious REmix to date, to illustrate the breakup scene from A Mathematician's Approach to Love (http://hitrecord.org/records/185877 if the link doesn't work)... my goal was to make a realistic 3D composite image using 30+ image REsources. did i succeed?
for background info, please check out the story! (link above and in resources)
some of the stock photos i used were self-taken; if you can't find them in the REsources and would like me to upload them for further REmixes (i.e. the desk, the light, the math books), please let me know.
many thanks to all of the incredible artists/photographers whose work i used!
& if you are curious about the process, or where certain REsources appear in the image (it's hard to find some of them), feel free to ask away! : D
This project grew out of my future of moving in the fall and a collection of bottle lids.
My dad loves entering soda sweepstakes, haha, and I always enter the codes for him and one day decided to just start collecting all the lids. For my move in the fall I wanted to create something hitRECord related and thought I could my bucket of lids finally to use. I printed out 64 of my favorite image records & mod podged them to the blue spray painted lids. I'm still not entirely sure how I'm going to arrange them in the end, so this isn't the final part of the project. (If you have any suggestions on ways to display them, let me know :) <3)
***note: still cleaning up resources - at first did it by #s hurriedly, so I'm sorry if I made a mistake & resourced you by accident! those should all be changed by now & still working to find 3 more resources that got lost in the mix :(***
A story of misunderstandings and the path to a potential resolution.
I took the approach of a lover's quarrel in an attempt to bring together CameronSmith's Fade In and Noiry Night clips while amferraro's lyrics spin the story. The beginning starts with the two lovers at odds and as the video progresses the female character is alone and in contemplation with her actions towards her male counterpart. The ending could be interpreted two ways; a call recieved as a final goodbye, or a request to make amends.
This was my first leap into Final Cut, so I hope it's just as rewarding to watch as it was to finally finish. :)
My Dad likes to do Garden work the old fashion way, so one day I decided to capture it for future generations.
