tiny story: real fish can fly [remix] by elayne. I'm all about fish and balloons. This is wonderful. Not only for the image and text pairing, but because they were not originally created for each other. This shows the value of writers and illustrators working together rather than in a vaccum somewhere. Magic happens. This is a remix of a remix combined with a text by someone else by someone else. A+, kids.
dandelion by the cheesnakefactory. As I've said before, I do love a good visual metaphor, especially one that's a play on words. This is simple and beautifully done.
new hevn, tiny story version by wirrow. Aside from being adorable, this is proof that every good story can be reduced to something short and still be entertaining.
Tiny Story: Love by Frankie R. An example of a great tiny story. Tight, concise, visual and with a play-on-words.
Shadow Muse by thimbles. Wow, what a lot of work! Wonderfully composed. I love the colours, too. Soft and refined.
A Fake History of Miami (low res) by MattConley. Just great. It's amazing how stock footage can be used to tell a story that it was never shot for. That's the mark of a great editor.
I really wanted to do something for the shadow collab...I took my love for art history, fibre arts and photography to create a "shadow art studio." This studio is complete with a "HitRECord" artist smock, a captured shadow, and various painting paraphernalia. Oh and please excuse my cat, she loves the camera. ;)
Here is Version 1 of the video for "A Fake History of Miami."
