When the reel of the real has decayed,
Don't be afraid.
I had meant to do a few different drawings today, and then... this happened. sorry, smweed, I have no idea if you're gonna like this at all (:'D) but this is what I get from not planning my drawings.
the characters ended up being strange representations of me and my sister, who -- even though it's been years since I was shorter than her -- I wouldn't want to face the world with anyone else at my side...
I've always felt kind of gipped at growing up when drive-in movies are already things of the past...
and I should really learn not to attempt night scenes with pens.
The pair of shoes liked to race, first through the door. It was always exciting, with lots of overtaking, and always very close. Today, Left wins!
tommacarte's story is just too cute. I'm amazed it's taken this long to get an illustration for it!
this was entirely based off the idea of the shoelaces being both the finish line and waving about in victory. :D
i live in the forest
but the birds carry sponsors
and the trees are made of buildings.
not exactly a new years picture, but that'll come...later.
HAPPY NEW YEAR. i wish you all every best hope for the next year. <3
it's been a while since I did a drawing for a tiny story. InkedCanvas' was just too lovely to resist.
at some point soon I'll finish the rest of the things on my to-do list
The last time we made love, I thought of birch trees.
Still and white, the children of catastrophe.
didn't finish my rerec video, made this instead. I'll post it tomorrow, because Mondays need to be more exciting anyway. :D
bit odd, but I really like it. :) I sincerely hope this is legible to other people.
ETA: damn! the scan accidentally cut off the ends of the fingertips! >_< derp
The stars in the sky were too far away,
so he caught some in his garden
and watched them dance around his bedroom
I might have got carried away. only the tiniest bit. :D
thanks so much to all the brilliant people who've uploaded textures. <3 you're awesome.
(especially belcath1981, who I seem to have raided for textures, sorry about the imminent spamming :D)
all resourced! also, this is apparently the wrong version, and I clicked off a few layers. woops. :') but oh well.
I've been reading too many comics lately, I think... first stages of this drawing :D if all goes to plan, I'll attack it with photoshop this weekend, and then it will be awesome. we'll see how it goes.
oh, and ignore how great I am at grammar. :'D
He tried to pick a daisy.
But he was made of plastic bags and it was windy that day.
now this is a tiny story I'd love to see as a short film. :)
drawn while I was supposed to be vacuuming. >_>'
I really loved yes-you-am's interpretation of likeadisco's tiny story, and wanted to do something with it, but only just now got the chance. *shrug* :)
sorry it's a bit smudgy. :/
One night while routinely counting the infinitesimal imperfections of her freckled features, she looked up at the night sky and realized with wonder that she was just made in its image. Now she counts stars instead.
tiny stoooooooories, how i love them.
They were new in town and knew no one but each other. So they decided it would be best to split up and meet other people.
OOPS he's got accidental extra long legs.
I'm travelling to Europe on my own in 3 weeks, much to my own terror as well as the terror of my parents and all my friends, so I'm digging the idea of meeting new people. also this is (vaguely) based on Bruges, because wow what a gorgeous city.
She sells seashells by the seashore.
Which is really a bad business model, actually. She didn't do much market research, did she?
i resemble this tiny story, so I just had to draw it out. :P influenced by the comic books I've been reading.
today I was making serious art. then I stopped and made this remix that has been hounding me since I first saw TheSerpentTheCharmer's gorgeous illustration.
Your kisses are snowflakes: each one is unique. They land on me, before they melt away, and leave me cold.
When the last human being died, Death put the chairs onto the tables, turned off the lights, and closed the door behind herself.
i always pictured Death as a bartender, closing up after hours. and I got sick of drawing chairs pretty early on, if you couldn't tell. :'D
he asked me to tell him a secret, so I told him about my home, but he didn't believe me. he'll have to meet my parents some day though.
I've been bit by the tiny story bug again, you guys, so get ready. :D (also i just really like wirrow's monster creatures, can't help myself)
i wanna give credit to valeob's illustration, cos even though i liked Kylier's tiny story, valeob's drawing hit some inspiration in me that lead to this. (this feels like my first remix in a while) :D
she has legs as long as daylight
(one day she'll go somewhere with them)
inspired by a little bit of dyslexia while reading a book. :) and my recent travels, which are kicking a fire up under my butt to get out there and make something of myself.
(real artist)(i'm totes gonna be one)(just you wait)
On this field there lies a parking lot
And under that parking lot there lies a story
I went to Brighton today and was drawing architecture when I got bored and remembered that I wanted to illustrate this tiny story. So... here? :D
i've been dancing around this idea for an illustration for a while, but never narrowed the thought down to a final design, until two days ago, when I had a creepy-ass dream that brought me here. :D i hope you enjoy!
as the morning sunlight reflected off the fine hairs on your face, i marveled anew at the details that went into creating you.
oops, marker vomit. /o\
She rummaged through her future to find what she was looking for.
(haHA, i forgot to upload the illustration last time woops)
