To be honest, I would not have listened to this song had it not been for fraeulein using it in her Hesher REmix. If the dawning of a brand new day had a sound, this probably would be it. There are a lot of cool chord changes too.
She & Him - ft. T.Ru – kidcubicle
It's interesting that this song is the same name of a band whose lead singer is long-time friend and colleague of Joe. The message of this song is so uplifting and quite enlightened. This would be a fabulous pre-show music selection.

Shadow Caste: A PROLOGUE – RegularJOE
When I first started reading the prologue, I immediately printed it off and carried it in my purse to read later. Last night, there was a power outage in my neighborhood and I remembered that I still hadn't fully read the prologue. So ultimately I read this by flashlight. RegularJOE does an astounding job of building anticipation. Hmm, I wonder how shadows are assigned to us? Do they find matches for us when we are born? For example, I would love to read stories of shadows that dance amidst the artwork in a sculpture garden or learn more about the midlights that lend aid in various circumstances.

What an ambitious undertaking to RECord an image for each day of the year! A person can see how one has grown in various ways over the course of a year. This could be a cool collaboration where perhaps on hitRECord's anniversary or on 11/11/11 people create a brief RECord for that day.

I admire illustrators like cacheth because they create worlds from the ground up. She is masterful at illustrating tiny stories where her interpretation is not literal but adds a special meaning to them.
My current favorites of her illustrations are [illustration] dusts and [illustration] the world is a film. One of my favorite videos of hers is The RE-Making of a RE-remix. Watching cacheth painting is a marvelous juxtaposition to the music recording process. Plus she uploaded the painting from that session.

When i first heard amferraro’s garden, i was watching this, and i thought this kind of stopmotion was perfectly matching with the rythm of that song, and with the story we could imagine to go with. So i really wanted to make one and picked up in my more or less old pictures, trying to create my own travel, and recreate movements with pictures that were never meant to be used for this kind of thing (except a very few ones). That explains the square format which is not a choice, but a compromise, so that i could use landscapes and portraits. This said, this is my very first time doing this, and if it wasn’t for hitrecord, i would never have done this kind of stuff.

I had meant to do a few different drawings today, and then... this happened. sorry, smweed, I have no idea if you're gonna like this at all (:'D) but this is what I get from not planning my drawings.
the characters ended up being strange representations of me and my sister, who -- even though it's been years since I was shorter than her -- I wouldn't want to face the world with anyone else at my side...
I've always felt kind of gipped at growing up when drive-in movies are already things of the past...
and I should really learn not to attempt night scenes with pens.

I have none of the multi-talents of amferraro, and none of the incredible camera skills of bsmith, but they make such an awesome team that I just couldn't help but throw myself at it. I made an oops though, because I got so into painting that I didn't actually get any video footage of the actual painting in development . :'D oh well.
