Here is the collection of REmixes I've made using RECords on HitRECord ~ some using only RECords & some with my additional original contributions ~ <3
~R
a REmix using Kelly's contribution to my "Odious the Swain" with lyrics taken from Sarah's poem "The Sorrow Bird"
♥
had some fun with Kelly's vocals
concrete chambers & elvis echo, oh my!
luckily, i had the original Ableton session safe n sound, just chillin' bein' sexy
so I re-arranged a couple things to fit her vocals better.
Hope you like <3
I heard Expoobident's audio RECord (feat. Pamagotchi on vocals) on the recent Regularity, and I felt those tride and true REmixing urges REsurfacing...
I looked up the RECord, and after a having a listen, I felt there were changes, to both the sound and arrangement, that I felt would amplify the immense potential of this RECord.
So, rather than waste precious time figuring out a way to critique the changes in words, I did what I'm much better at, which is to act upon the changes myself.
Ultilizing the audio stems, provided by Expoobident and Pamagotchi, I went to work - REworking the arrangement, slowing the development without giving up the pace, REmixing and REarranging the sounds, all with Pam's magneficent voice carrying it, guiding it home.
So put on your good headphones, turn up your speakers, dance your heart out, and enjoy.
♥
Instrumentation - Expoobident
Vocals - Pamagotchi
REmix arrangement & production - meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
(this REmix contains only samples from the RECords resourced)

Cymbal crash RECording by thisishowiroll (RECorded 10/2011)
EBow gtr solo by me (RECorded 2010)
2012 REmix arrangement & production by meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This REmix contains only samples from the RECords resourced. No outside/extra RECordings were used.
---------------------------------------
this took nearly a full year after the original bass line & 'Ravens' RECords were released for me to 'crack' the idea for an arrangement that worked.
back in April 2011, i downloaded the audio stems that Albert, Sarah, and Matt uploaded to the site, and after trying some ideas that ended up not going aywhere, decided to put this REmix on hold until I could think of something suitable. Sometimes the best ideas come much later. Sometimes, it's better to put your impulses aside and allow time to pass...
in January 2012, I came up with the idea of looping Matt & Sarah's ending vocal lines which created the proper foundation, along with Albert's bass, for the song to move in a cohesive, structured direction. Everything else, the drums, guitar solo, format, followed suit.
And there you have it.
many thanks to Albert, Matt & Sarah <3

while working on a REmix of "the prize," i got this riff in my head. so i put prize on hold and worked on this.
sampled a bit of Lava Tornado and another tasy find from GwenInterrupted's trusty loop collection.
Guitar, Bass, Arrangement ~ meeeee
rather than sit around with it, i'm sharing it in its "rough draft" state. or whatever.
i'd love to get someone doing a nice hip hop flow to it. or something of that nature.
tbc.
this is why i hit RECord.
<3
This RECord can now be heard on the HitRECorderly #3 Vinyl (released Summer 2012) as "Diamond in the Rough"
check it out here:
http://moveonthesun.bandcamp.com/track/diamond-in-the-rough
this REmix uses the vocal and drums from Metaphorest's original RECord.
experimented with different variations before settling on this one.
REmix production, arrangement, Synthesizer, 808 programming, Guitar: meeeeeeeeeeee
Hope you enjoy, and happy REmixing
<3
RJ
and many thanks to Sarah for making such a wonderful and REmixable song (and the stems too!) <3
i love TCS's little vocoder RECord. Slowed it down a little. Cut & Pasted. added the main vocal from eaneikciv's tiny tune, to fill the space.
there's plenty of space to have fun with. follow the groove.
REmix production, drum programming, bass: meeeeeeeeeeeeee
Happy REmixing!
<3
Sarah & Lizzie's song transferred from HitRECord RECollection 45RPM Vinyl, slowed down to 33RPM
RECords used:
-Rainey's vocal
-Madisen's guitar/bottle (REversed)
-Gwen's drum loop
Production, Piano, Rhythm-Matic, Synths, RECord treatments: meeeeeeeeeeeeee
<3
added a little synth part to wirrow's reading.
a big thanks to Pamagotchi for showing me this RECord, which inspired me to REmix, just in time for Halloween :)
REmix production, Harmony vocal, Bass, Acoustic guitar, Organ, Tambourine: meeeeeeeeeeeee
Happy Halloween HitRECorders!
<3
REmixed fleurdely's Audio RECord
added assorted MIDI drums, electric guitar, and bass (played by me)
here's the order i put the arrangement in:
0:00-0:29 - intro/refrain
0:29-1:09 - verse
1:09-1:29 - refrain
1:29-2:08 - verse
2:08-2:28 - refrain
2:28-2:58 - interlude
2:58-3:37 - refrain
3:37-4:57 - interlude/end
a rough draft, it can be chopped up, added to, fucked around with, whatever. have some fun with this if you like. might add more to this at a future date.
Enjoy.
after having a quick little listen or two, this is what i heard in my head.
and since i'm without my guitar tonight, i used my synthesizers instead.
~hehe, that rhymed~
<3
Here is the "Habanera" from Georges Bizet's opera comique Carmen, as performed by Lorraine (TheMetafictionist) singing, and myself (on solo acoustic guitar).
As both great admirers of this beautiful piece of music, we're happy to share this with hitRECord : )
<3
This music is in the public domain.
messed around with filters. i like this one.
reading of wirrow's "and a new earth" with a robotic filter effect
happy REmixing
REmix combining drumloops created by GwenInterrupted & beats/sound of my own.
REmixxx.
in looking for some music to add to my tiny music for tiny films folder, i found this little piece of sound and thought it suited this Tiny Story. Now all we need is some images...
also added the instrumental RECord here, in case you want to REmix it, or use another VO reading over it.
~Robo J
added some harmonica, maracas, and some cardboard box.
didn't care to adjust the tempo, just ran with Marke for this one :)
definitely going to mess around with this some more soon.
<3
put an interesting effect on lis' RECord, and i liked how it came out.
maybe add something?
Viddy well, RECorder. Viddy well.
whether or not it ends up getting used, i had some fun with Kid Koala's drum beat, REmixing it with Pam's singing, and Haus of Glitch's live beat on a guitar.
it's time to party.
:o)
as soon as he posted it, i got to work right away on Malicore's awesome tune.
REmixed and REstructured the parts
& added some MIDI drums n forwards/backwards guitar to the mix.
Hope you enjoy
Happy REmixing
<3
one of my favorite things to do on HitRECord is finding and putting together RECords that appear unrelated yet have even the slightest hint of a common thread woven between them.
When I was making my HitRECord 11:11 MegaMix RECord - http://www.hitrecord.org/records/375680 - I wanted to end it on a good, peaceful note. I wanted to include the Row Row Row Your Boat collaboration, and I wanted to use Joe's Nothing Big as well... So, rather than pick one or the other, I simply put them together :)
This REmix uses: Chase_Horseman's piano-only RECord the singing RECorded from SITC 2010 and of course, Joe.
Hope you enjoy.
<3
RJ
as per Syoh's suggestion of using this song with the HitRECordettes idea, I made this little REmix of Ally's swingin' take on Metaphorest's lyrics/song
even gave it a little kuzoo intro for kicks ^_^
Happy REmixing!
<3
RJ
i've been working on n off with this idea since mid-July. finally got some things on it to where i'm comfortable uploading it as a REmix RECord, but still trying to figure the fucker out.
anyhoo. i had some production fun here.
found a nice little panning-distortion effect for the original bass, which set everything into motion, and everything else (besides Pammy's voice, of course) is my contribution.
this is what i have so far.
if you got any opinion/critique about it, i wanna hear it.
if it sucks, tell me why, and i'll make it better.
if you think you can make it better, my sounds are yours to improve upon.
Happy REmixing
and thank you Pam <3
R
*This is a STEREO RECording*
had a rough afternoon. somewhere out of it, came this.
<3
REmixed and added bass, piano and maracas to Sarah's guitar/vox [REmixed thanks to her audio stems] and added a little coda at the end too.
feel free to take this and add to it. if you need stems, just holler
hope you like.
RE-REmixed my original, this time in mono
for those who don't know what a 'mono' mix is, basically it's when everything in the mix is *centered* as opposed to stereo where you have things on either side.
enjoy
~RJ
This REmix features four drum loops made by GwenInterrupted, which were themselves sampled from RECords. Vocal is a REmix of my accapella RECord.
REmix production, arrangement, guitar, bass, keys and voice: me

Words by Robo_J
*italic lyrics REmixed from We'll Let The Waves Take Us by Abra
When will I see you again,
my lover and my friend?
It's been so long since I've heard your song, as Autumn brings the Summer to an end.
Tell me where will you go, from the hills you only knew?
To the scene of great watery green, or to the lands where the stray winds once blew?
So Lover, sink down with me
Into the depths of this dark, blue sea
Sink down with me
Down into this unforgiven sea
Oh what things you do to me, in our decadent dreams.
Wrap me in your silly ways, and sway me again for hours upon end.
This is our time to fly, towards our chosen limitless skies.
And I will not hesitate to take the fall, for breaking all the rules we used to bend.
~this is a Stereo RECording~
Guitar/Bass/Vocal: Wirrow
Drums/Synths/Programming/Mixing: Robo_J
everything is on fire all the time.
~Beardo
when we were invisible everything was on fire and it started with a glitch wandering back from the deathly rain into a Scrimp N Save dreaming of a garden to bury things in while rowing a boat gently down the stream merrily dreaming life is but nothing big. all this occurring in exactly eleven minutes and eleven seconds. All sounds on this RECording were REmixed from the RECords resourced. No addtional instrumentation was added. ~Robo J
really liked how this came out on my Mega Mix, and so I made it as its own RECord. I restructured some of the parts, and added a electric guitar solo for the end.
I added the vinyl sound to mimic those awesome 1960s garage band 7" 45rpm singles that are now relics of an earlier RECording age.
Hope you enjoy it.

Tonguecutsparrow: Music & Instrumention
LizSmalls: Words & Lead Vocals

RECorded/mixed on Ableton Live Lite v.8
<3
In honor of RegularJoe's birthday, I put this together. Happy Birthday Joe. Thanks for making this amazing place <3
ChigWinkle's reading of Jules' "The Gleeful Gloam" put with original music I created, specifically for this reading.
Music was made/mixed via Ableton Live Lite (v.8)
Worked my ass off to get the volume levels correct. Hopefully, it sounds decent.
<3
the music of this REmix was born from finding the REmix made by TheMetafictionist of a piano/drum loop made by GwenInterrupted. I took part of it, slowed it down, and built a new progression on top of it. this REmix also uses a drum loop, also made by GwenInterrupted, which was sampled from a RECord made by Krrr.
REmix production, arrangement, piano, guitar, synthesizer, additional drum programming: meeeeeeeeeeee
this is the instrumental version of the REmix i made earlier this summer. decided to put the instrumental version on here, in case anyone finds a REmixable use for it.
<3
after watching Joe's video about music for the Turnip Head short, i thought about what I could do for it. I usually like to find things before creating them, and Lis waltz (that I REmixed by adding a pitch/delay effect) came quickly to mind. I wasn't sure if it would match, but this *un-altered* result came out interestingly well-synced with Gary's audio.
This is a "test RECord" to see if you all think so as well. I can also time the song to match Gary's audio better, if it needs adjustment(s).
Hope this is leaning in the right direction
R
took Bell's vox and flipped them around.
came out interesting, eh?
working on a full REmix for the actual song, but i thought i'd upload this for anyone who wants to REmix this.
Enjoy.
looped the first two bits around. sounds like something could fit there.
added some ssssssssssssssssssssynth.
see where it goes from here.
love what Bell added and REmixed to my Beat 321
so i returned the gesture and REmixed her
leveled and panned out her vocals. mixed in malicore's drum loop as well.
enjoy.
and thank you Bell :)
