hitRECord at the Movies London footage and stills for your viewing and remixing pleasure...
Joe talks movies with Michelle who works for the BFI.
Joe talks movies with Wally Pfister, cinematographer for Inception and many other great films.
All of them.
We had a surprise guest at the London hitRECord at the Movies and a little announcement.
For your viewing and remixing pleasure...
This is a slight detour during the performance of a certain song from a certain band sang by a RegularJOE. Like he said - these chords can be remixed. Certain someones don't own the chords. If you want another example of this logic go to youtube and look up 'Axis of Awesome 4 chord song' for more on these chord things.
I hope this section is acceptable to upload.
RegularJOE and various hitRECorders provide voiceover to the Bunny Carrots animation.
A fantastic live reading by RegularJOE along to film Morgan and Destiny's Eleventeenth Date - The Zeppelin Zoo.
If Morgan and Destiny ever have a date in London it should be in Londinium.
Some awesome voices and their owners are invited to the stage to read a tiny story in turn.
Please, please forgive the even more shake and appearance of over-zoom as the zoom on my camera is over-sensitive. I don't want to hurt its feelings but there it is.
And now...
You dirty minded little f... um, it's just something that's said.
A discussion on a specific piece of cinema.
For the love of camera equipment, let this one finally load!
....and now it has. This was fantastic with all the different voices for the different types of shadow. Hilarious! Has to be watched.
Pigsy did a shout out earlier in the week for hitRECorders to meet before the BFI event and it wound up being just myself, Pigsy and his friend and future hitRECorder Damien. Didn't really matter though, we got along really well and this photo is of the guys after they've just picked up their tickets. They appear to be excited about something.
I just wanted to upload this to commemorate the first hitRECorder I met in person!
...and now a day later Damien is a hitRECorder and goes by the name Cylon!
Like so many today or this evening or last night, I'm confused... I bought a tiny stories book and had it signed by RegularJOE. So far so awesome. I then took the long and treacherous journey to West London via the strange vessel night bus and with a combined soundtrack of a man next to me snoring and a group of drunken girls behind me singing Dog Days Are Over - I felt the time was right to reread this lovely book and I found this signature on the title page.
Wirrow had clearly ninja'd over to the signing table and signed as Joe did whilst we were being dazzled by camera flashes for the photos. Such is his skills that he repeated this for every tiny book without being spotted.
He just signed them beforehand you say?
Lies. My version is far more plausible.
Oops, fell asleep a little. I had meant to upload this earlier. I thought I had woke up in Monday morning but apparently not. I now feel that I have time travelled and gained this extra time. What to do with it?
Clearly I feel strange. Anyway, I said there was more to upload and here is RegularJOE talking about the uber awesome sounding RECollections that has gone to the publishers and inviting hitRECorders and future hitRECorders to work on specific collaborations that could do with some more attention.
Okay, so the whole good workman not blaming their tools saying comes to mind but does this count if the RECord button on your camera is a real cow? So sensitive that you may not even be aware that you've pressed it. When we're told to hit record I'm thinking we're not supposed to press it again until we're done.
After considering whether to upload what is essentially an interesting talk that ends all too soon, I figure what the hell - maybe someone has the rest of it.
Completely uncut - all of my footage before the show from arriving at the BFI and meeting other hitRECorders, following the roaming shadow photo gallery and the messing around in the corridors while waiting for the show to start.
I loved that that song was playing as we went in.
Joe gets a little lost.
When I was wondering around the BFI on the weekend this mildly amusing idea popped into my head. There is a hell of a lot of signage and quite close together for what I was filming - which was one long corridor.
Okay, so I'm trying to do an edit for the BFI event and this is a rough cut of the intro. Very rough. I don't edit much. Anyway, this is just what I have so far - as if I'm honest I am having difficulty getting the rest of my edit to flow. I guess I'm just putting this up to get feedback on what I've done so far.
Any advice or comments would be appreciated.
Little bit nervous now.
