Napay (bread) was walking home when he saw a cave labeled `Mouth’. Curious and lacking in better judgement he went in to explore the cave lined with jagged white rocks and moist, spongy, pink floor.
The cave suddenly snapped shut and he tried to run but found his legs are practically epoxied to the floor. Then the floor started to undulate and the rocks moved in a chomping and grinding motion.
You probably know what happened next, Napay didn’t…

A/N: a story born from me and my dorm mates' silly banter. it's much more macabre when we were telling it though... :(
A kiss can be beautiful. A kiss can be painful. A kiss can be sad. A kiss can be a goodbye. A kiss can be a hello. A kiss can be an 'I miss you'. A kiss can be a 'I'm sorry'. A kiss can tear you apart. A kiss can make you whole.
A kiss can be so very many things, yet, with the same lips and mouth. Strange, that.
This is a painting I did with “The Scream” by Edvard Munch in mind. My idea behind my painting is based around my experiences in the last year of my GCSE Art project where I felt under pressure to achieve a top grade. I lost sleep, weight (I’m sure of it) and the will to live : D Sadly, not much has changed there but I guess it’s something anyone can relate to, which is why I like “The Scream” in the first place. I put an Oreo in my mouth to stretch it out to give my own interpretation of consumption (consumption of TB – versus – consumption of comfort food) I did this with acrylic on cardboard.
a photographic version of wirrow's "Nameless" drawing. http://hitrecord.org/records/70148 the model looks scarily like the girl in wirrow's drawing. very talented. it was her very first photoshoot and she managed to pull off a fantastic facial expression and cover herself in china white. oh yeah - i cropped it differently - negative space and shit.
i was playing around with photoshop and this is the result.
some of you may already know hannya masks, but for those who don't:
»Hannya (般若) mask is a Japanese ritual mask used in Noh theater, representing a jealous female demon. It is used to represent the malice or sublime emotions of human beings. It possesses two sharp bull-like horns, glaring eyes, and a leering mouth split from ear to ear. (...) In the Tale of Genji the story goes:
"The shining Genji's wife, Aoi, is possessed by an evil spirit and confined to her sickbed. An itinerant mountain priest is summoned, and while he is offering incantations and prayers, the protagonist, the spirit of the shining Genji's old girlfriend, the Rokujo lady, who is jealous of his affection for Aoi, manifests. The priest wages a bitter spiritual battle with the Rokujo lady, and at last the revengeful ghost is vanquished by his prayers and attains Buddhahood. It is noteworthy that the evil spirit never takes off the hannya mask throughout her transformation into a Buddha. The Rokujo lady is still disturbed, but in the releasing of her madness she discovers a path to salvation, thus demonstrating that madness and sanity, suffering and salvation, are not unrelated to each other".
(...) The word hannya is associated with madness, but in Buddhism it signifies wisdom of enlightenment.«
(-wikipedia) sorry, much text, but i think it's a very interesting and inspiring story. at least for me!
...by the way, i am not a jealous demon

This drawing is the last thing I EVER drew. It was drawn on August 3, 2007; started at 2 PM and ended a little after 5 PM. I used a regular number 2 pencil, but after breaking the tip of the pencil so many times, I ended up using 3 number 2 pencils.
Ever since that day, I have not drawn anything else.
I chose a photo of my own mouth that I decided to take this morning with my iphone. I chose this subject as a literal representation of introspective, and my teeth are one of the things that make me different, what makes us all different. That is why they use peoples dental records to identify their bodies, because we are all different :)
