this is a song a song a song i made :D
Here is a updated version of the DNA Chords remix featuring pamagotchi & kidcubicle on vocals.
the innocent smiles she wore as a child have been replaced
by difficult scenes reenacted in dreams she thought she'd forgotten
the difference between us is the chemicals that make us hungry for something more
the heartbreak we promised wouldn't come around is sleeping in our bed
something is watching from the window
it knows what you're afraid of
i can feel its breath on my neck
and the laughter echoes through the halls
i'm not coming back.
i need my space.
she says i wasn't around enough.
well, maybe i wasn't...
i make too little noise for you.
i don't like to be alone
but i can't stand the pressure of being your friends.
I like this one. Enjoy.
i don't know where i've been
i can't recall if i'm wearing thin
i don't mind if i'm lost
i don't mind if i'm tired and frail and lost
i left a man in my wake
resented him for what he had to say
i don't mind that i'm alone
i don't mind that my heart, it carries stones
my heart, it carries stones
i told it all, unedited
i told it all like i remembered it
they interlocked and then they fled
and met again, but the love they'd made was dead
i am no historian
i'm prone to error in the records i give
i am proud of what i feel
i am proud that my skin is tempered steel
my skin is tempered steel
kind of a war song

I found this great loop by GwenInterrupted from a Forrest Knauff song...I wanted to try again with the words I wrote.
Again, harmonies aren't quite right...does someone want to play around with this?

In a world of diamond giants
And things, well I don't care to know or hear
I walked across the greying waters
And you poured Southern dust in my ears
To have you pour Southern dust in my ears
I sat on the brink of the night time
And up rose the sound of your strings
You plucked them like plums and they fell in my hand
I took a bite of your dreams
I took a bite of your dreams
So take me to Carolina,
Let me look inside of your mind
Show me the sunsets, the four walls of your bedroom
And in the tuning and chords
And in the tuning and chords let me hide
You said you were sad in your twenties
And the tears turned into musical chords
But your tears, well they've made me so happy
And in your sadness my spirit has soared
And in your sadness my spirit has soared
You sat all alone on the hard wooden floor
And the darkness leaned in for a peek
And I felt my lungs tighten like a flying car window
As you poured Southern dust in my ears
As you poured Southern dust in my ears
So take me to Carolina,
Let me look inside of your mind
Show me the sunsets, the four walls of your bedroom
And in the tuning and chords
And in the tuning and chords let me hide
So take me to Carolina,
Let me look inside of your mind, your mind,
Show me the sunsets, the four walls of your bedroom
And in the tuning and chords
And in the tuning and chords
And in the tuning and chords let me hide.
Let me hide
Let me hide.
Do do do
I'm walking around
and I'm upside down
so it's not a frown
it's a smile in disguise
open up your eyes a woah
do do do you
remember when
we learned how to sin
when we first began to realize
we had our own eyes a woah
sometimes these words make since better in my head
so when they leave my lips and scatter in the air
I hope you catch my drift when I say
the words that get stuck deep inside
my hippocampus wrinkle lines
I have the worst time getting them all out
do do do do
I'm thinking about
all the early years
when my salty tears
had sting against my cheeks
but now they just leak a woah
due due due due
the bills are there
in my swivel
and I try to keep my hair
from falling out
like a water spout a woah
sometimes these words make since better in my head
so when they leave my lips and scatter in the air
I hope you catch my drift when I say
the words that get stuck deep inside
my hippocampus wrinkle lines
I have the worst time getting them all out
So, I saw Ryan Adams in Glasgow last night..and, yeah, I am finding it very hard to put into words how brilliant a concert it was. 3 hours of pure, undiluted, acoustic wonderfulness. He is also brilliantly funny. I've had words floating around my head for the past 24 hours, and I just wanted to try [TRY] and write something that in some way conveyed how I felt after this concert. It's like...if you have ever stuck your head out of the window when you are going very fast in a car and for a moment you feel you can't breathe..and then you remember you can. Yeah, that's kinda how I felt all evening.
So, this happened...I feel like I have stolen the melody from somwhere [I really hope I haven't]. It's simple and it feels clumsy and dumb, especially considering what I am trying to write about, but this is my first shot at combining song writing and putting a melody together and it is scary. I was wondering if there were any wonderful musicians out there who might be able to put this to music? Or improve it in some way.
Oh crap, I have rambled long enough. End of gushing.

PS: REALLY not sure about that harmony..it was a last minute thought!
