I was actually thinking about making my first video reREC today but there is that problem with videos just now. I am a massive jinx so I do apologise from the bottom of my heart for that. I hope you can forgive me.
Anyway, Holy reRECs Batman!
1. 'DNA Chords (Double Helix Mix) ver. 1' by Malicore
As promised from a text RECord shortly after the BFI event where Malicore requested any and all RECords of the DNA Chords section of the event for musical remixing. What we've been given is a really great and catchy beat. I love it! I'm also glad that Joe's audio was kept as part of the song. It works really well.
2. 'Toes Under Table I (Tiny Story)' by Michal
Added to my tiny stories album. I am in love with this tiny story but I wouldn't dream of trying to illustrate it. The words by themselves feel right if that makes sense. But that's just me. The 2010 Tiny Book of Tiny Stories had some that were just text. Please do add a pleading tone to that last sentence.
3. 'schrodinger's cat-22' by wirrow
Separately this text and image are great and work but together they're incredible. Really love it!
4. 'Everything's Possible' by Sibyline
This is such a sweet picture. I've seen a few longer pictures lately on the site that tell story by kind of comic strip but down the page and much longer. I like that format as sometimes reading a regular comic strip even if you concentrate on the left of the page you still see what's to come in the corner of your eye and you can't always ignore it. This way it's truly a surprise. This has to be my favourite on the site that uses this format. Beautifully done.
5. '30th Birthday Mug Shots' by DTLAJosh
Though there was some intial concern from some hitRECorders about these images being up on the site - according to Jared they have been given permission to be used and I am so pleased. They are some incredible portrait photography ripe for mugshot collab remixing. Looking at the album as a whole is fun too as they all look like members of the same gang. Who's the getaway driver? The explosives expert?
6. 'Shadow Beings Collaboration (teaser)' by MattConley
A beautiful teaser for the Shadow Beings collaboration using Anne Hathaways excellent reading and various resources which are, excuse me, a feast for the eyes! ..phew. Never actually used that phrase before. Wow, I feel better. It's a great idea having these teasers to get people drawn into the bigger collaborations.
7. 'visual sound' by Proi
It sounds like a simple idea. Do excuse my punning, Proi. But I would never of thought of it. It is brilliant and is a really interesting image. Excellent colour choice too.
8. 'Tiny Stories Paper Cut Edition' by totallyjamie
There is some of these in my tiny stories reREC album but I couldn't help myself, I had to recommend these here too. This is an album full of gorgeous artwork for some of my favourite tiny stories. Please look and recommend your favourites. One of these must be in the new book. Again, do add a pleading tone to my last.
9. 'Listless' by Babbish
Ah, Babbish you gorgeous voiced person - this is fantastic! It feels like I'd listen to it amongst some 70's/80's rock songs and it would fit right in. It's been in my head for days and needs more hearts, damn it!
10. 'outsider (an illustration)' by Eskapuria
Eskapuria is a recent joiner to hitRECord and is already producing some amazing work. Not only do I recommend looking at this illustration but go to Eskapuria's page and delve into the tiny story illustration album they've created. Fantastic stuff.
I love this new tune. I hope you guys do too.
Remixed version of Readmooses's illustration for Michal's tiny story 'Outsider'.
This was an excellent exercise in drawing feet :)

Here is my first stab at remixing Joe's performance at BFI. A big thanks to everyone that REcorded the performance.
Teaser for the "Shadow Beings" collaboration to highlight some of the contributions (so far) and show how "Shadow Caste" is coming together.
