My first ever batch of RE-REC's! Let's get the ball rolling, shall we?
Webs we weave, by wen: A lovely illustration to rayperez's wonderful tiny story. This is probably my favorite yet. It ties in with the story and is actually a really, really clever interpretation. Bravo!
Dusty Dance, by RegularJOE: Delish delight, indeed! I just really love the image remixes that inspired this, it all ties in beautifully. I can see this being a lovely little animation, as well. I think all of us have danced with the dust at one point or another!
Midnight, by fleurdelys: An absolutely stunning little piece sprouted from pure emotion from the heart. I love the melody, I love the flow of it. I was touched by this. Absolutely so.
Pocket Autopsy Collaboration (teaser), by MattConley: One of my favorite collabs here started by Marke. Matt just reminded me how much I truly enjoy it! I would love to see more little teasers for various collabs around hitRECord. The editing is awesome, as always, though. :)
Sid, the Kid who Ran Away from the Circus, by Metaphorest: Meta wrote this for bloemday's Circus Spirits collab.(which is awesome, btw!) And, I just really love it. Meta always creates such wonder-filled stories and my heart just flew away with this one! It'd be perfect to draw, act out, and sing about, even. I can see wonderful things come of this. Which leads me to.....
Sid the Kid V.O., by alpal and kelbelle: Such a theatrical reading! My mind kind of went away with this and I started envisioning such marvelous things in my head. They gave it their own little personality, too. I love when that happens.
I fear I might be paranoid: tiny story, by he-art-geek: This illustration really, really caught my eye. It's simple, but very alluring. I love the detail here. I love look in the eyes, the way the eyelashes are drawn and the text within the eyes. A perfect example of how wonderful simple drawings can catch my eye!
Three, by ellenwilberg: A beautiful record of a pencil drawing with watercolors. The expressions here are very stunning, and the way the hair is drawn just so that it merges with the others. Really beautiful work here.
Of Course I'm Scared (or Death is Obvious, carried on), by phenomenaaa: I'm always impressed with the way Phen handles and uses her words, but this really struck me. It's beautiful and haunting. A wonderful rendition and continuation to jamignott's tiny story. I'd love to see this illustrated. Or perhaps acted out on film. The sky's the limit with this one! <3
A Manifesto, by Metaphorest: Meta, like I said before, if you were a politician you would definitely have my vote! I love the strength in the voice here. There is so much empowerment and spirit, and that's truly inspiring. We should all shout this from the highest of mountain-tops!
Beat 714, by Robo_J: Beardo, you musical master! I love this. I can't explain how much I do. The beat makes you want to get up on your feet and jam. A job well done! I love this on its own, but I can't wait to see this continued! I saw that you and Ray are cookin' up more epicness, and I think we're all in for a special treat.
La Lune, by pprescott: Another visual present for the eyes! I love pprescott's photography, and I'm a girl who's kind of obsessed with the wonders of the moon! She captured such a lovely and beautiful shot, how could you NOT stop to admire that? I might just have to do a little image remix of this later on!
Non Dimenticare (added vox), by themetafictionist: Pammy did the most stunning translation in Italian to Meta's beautiful tune, and Rainey added some beautiful vocals along with it. I couldn't stop listening to Pammy's version, and ever since this one was released, THIS is the version that I have on repeat. It's beautiful. I think I'll echo what LizSmalls has said before and say that this makes me want to dance under the Italian moonlight! :D I love to see other's work translated into other languages. We're such a diverse community, and I'd love to see more of that!

<3, B.
I couldn't resist adding vocals to pammy's beautiful Italian translation of Metaphorest's beautiful song. I just sang along mostly, but up the octave.
Things have been difficult for me, lately....So I tried to put all my stress and fear into a song wich is a real challenge and that's what I came up with. Thanks again<3

The motes of dust in the window's light danced with such delish delight, that she joined them. |

while working on a REmix of "the prize," i got this riff in my head. so i put prize on hold and worked on this.
sampled a bit of Lava Tornado and another tasy find from GwenInterrupted's trusty loop collection.
Guitar, Bass, Arrangement ~ meeeee
rather than sit around with it, i'm sharing it in its "rough draft" state. or whatever.
i'd love to get someone doing a nice hip hop flow to it. or something of that nature.
tbc.
this is why i hit RECord.

This RECord can now be heard on the HitRECorderly #3 Vinyl (released Summer 2012) as "Diamond in the Rough"

(If I was a politician in an almost-apocalyptic world...) :) There are no excuses now, no time for hiding meaning between words. Words are flimsy tools but still are mightie... |

New entry into the "Collab Promo Collaboration" (http://hitrecord.org/records/443201) - this time for Marke's "Pocket Autopsy" project.
The point of this teaser trailer format is to introduce the basic scope and jist of a collaboration, highlight some of the contributions and directorial notes on it, and encourage the community to collaborate.
