I am not the best person drawing, I draw, but I am not that good, anyway, one of the things that I learn here at Hitrecord, is not to be afraid of trying new things and try to make improvements and find the way to do everything better, so here it is, my illustration for the lovely Tiny Story: Summer Hobby!!!!!

i collect flickering stars

in old pickling jars,

poking holes in the lids

so they can breathe.

Just a quick little illustration for thedustdancestoo's tiny story, I wanted these to be literal stars (balls of light) not fireflies.  The scanner didn't pick up the shading I did in the jar, so anyone with photoshop and photoshop skills please feel free to play with this.  

this tiny story reminded me of a sketch i did a while back- so i made the fireflies into stars. i hope nudity isn't a no-no... :0)

This tiny story made me think of tori's RECord 'the jar'...because I don't have any drawing skills...I decided to REmix this image in stead...

This one is pretty silly...I mixed 2 tiny stories together...Summer hobby and Insomnia...you know...laying awake wondering about the future...wondering about the past...

Right. Ignore the previous two installations. Apparently it works after I resized it now.

Decided to do a little remix of 'summer hobby' with a few combined illustrations here. :D I love the idea of flying through the skies and collecting the stars.

It is also my first attempt to illustrate any of the tiny stories' text so constructive comments are welcome!

This is my an alternate of my illustration for summer hobby (a tiny story) by thedustdancestoo. This version has an added star-catching jar and some addition details. I did not add the text in this version but if anyone is interested I could add it to another record.

I figured with so much focus on the jars of this tiny story, I'd give the "flickering star" collecting a bit of the spotlight :] Also made this in a black and white version...

So this is pretty much just a variation using the illustration I did for the tiny story summer hobby by thedustdancestoo. I had already been thinking my flickering star collector needed her own little tale when janetfelts had mentioned an idea much the same to my own. So I adjusted things a wee teensy bit and here is the result. I think it came out faerie-ly cute - taha =P

This is the first illustration I did for hitRECord, but I never uploaded it for some curious reason...tonight, I found it under my sofa for some even curiouser reason, so I thought I'd whack 'er up. I know there's already an awesome illustration for this story that's been chosen for publication, but I thought I'd share this little pickling anyway :o)
