My attempt to illustrate Metaphorest's tiny story "Zebra Crossing".

This image is pretty much what I saw in my mind as soon as I read the story, though the zebra in my mind looks a bit different to this... I fail at drawing a lot of things and animal is very high up on that list D:

Ok, I know, is not cut out, but it is of glued bits of paper (almost the same, hehe). Because that is what I usually do ... I wanted to look like an old paper so I used a little PS ... 

p.s. wanted to make it turn out better, but I really don`t have time...It's time for a little traveling, so I have to start packing ... :)

Okay so a few things here...

1] I have legit been fighting with this illustration (moreso Photoshop) for over an hour and I fear my brain has imploded and fizzled into bits of dust.

2] I warned you people I have a serious obsession with "Through The Looking Glass"...hence why my gal here is dressed a wee bit like Alice <3

3] Holy balls I need a stiff drink after fighting with this bastard all night...*wanders off to hunt up some whiskey*

Okay so..truth be told, birds scare the total hell out of me (damn you, Alfred Hitchcock!). But whatever. I like lovebirds, lol. Thought someone might be able to use these little pretties :]

This moment of connection will soon be gone. I get up from my seat in the little cafe', I push in my chair as I soon walk away. When I hear your voice softly say "hey." I turn to meet your eyes finally, and watched you walk away with another girl from the table next to me.

Today, the sky's filled with the sun's glow. Our shadows slink closer together and, behind our backs, hold hands.

I figured with so much focus on the jars of this tiny story, I'd give the "flickering star" collecting a bit of the spotlight :] Also made this in a black and white version...
