This is a colored version of mronnow's sketch. It seemed appropriate to do since I currently can't sleep. :)

Why are their eyes closed? I think they're either sharing a laugh (and you know how hard it is to keep your eyes open when laughing really, really hard) or they've can't-sleep-together'd until they've fallen asleep.

This is for the sleepyhead tiny story's request. inspired by the propaganda baby poster, I put these babies into hitrecord pattern jammies and turn them into insomniac. Maybe they are planning a revolution.

PS: Mini Maxx makes a special cameo appearance in this tiny story.

Here's a basic mock-up of a possible concept for the "Sleepyheads" illustration. You see the bed and the pillows... but not the couple. They're under the covers. Not sleeping.

I did include a bit of their feet coming out of the sheets, but surely this (and the rest of the illustration) could be done a whole lot better. Just wanted to throw this mock-up out there in cartoon style to see if anyone wanted to remix it.

OK, this is kind of a terrible drawing I drew on my lunch break today with a normal pen. But I'm going away for the weekend with no internet, so I thought I'd get the idea out there in case someone liked it and wanted to take a crack at making a decent drawing. The idea of a kid saying the tiny story to her teddy bear.

Here is my (rather strange) illustration for thedustdancestoo's tiny story "Sleepyheads".

I decided to try approaching this from a slightly different perspective. Originally I thought about having 2 burglars bumping into each other during a job. However the idea somehow mutated into 2 superheroes-type characters (which, for my personal amusement, I decided to named "Hit-man" and "Record-Girl") bumping into each other during their nightly patrol around the city and one using this as their pick-up line...

So I guess this could also be viewed as the "(Totally) Fake Origin of hitRECord.org" :P
