My attempt to illustrate Metaphorest's tiny story "Zebra Crossing".

This image is pretty much what I saw in my mind as soon as I read the story, though the zebra in my mind looks a bit different to this... I fail at drawing a lot of things and animal is very high up on that list D:

I RECorded this when I was 12, and I RE-worked on it last week and I came up with this 27th of july, wich happened to be Dan's birthday....That's why this song is my tribute to the extraordinaire Burning Dan. Again by heart ♥

This is the result of a collaboration between the wonderfully lovely Anicamay and (the usually uselessly lazy)  me :D. Well, Anica did most of the job (thank you so much my dear, it has been an exquisite pleasure  to work with someone as talented and supportive as you)! She formed the plasticine, made up a story to the tiny story, took the pics etc…I only contributed with some ideas, editing and, of course,  weird accent (it has come to my ears  that native English speakers regard accents as being “cute”, which instantly made me forget every phonetics class I ever took).  <(^_^<)

I missed hitrecord,I haven’t really been around lately…I’ve been through Hell (master thesis, graduation, career) and I’m in Heaven now (sun, pool, beach, clubs and even a little love-juuuust a little:). But I can’t wait to settle down and come back to you, miss you so much! \\(^0^)//

I cannot believe that I have been a HITRECORDER for 1 whole year! It feels like I just signed up actually! Well it has been an amazing ride and I cannot wait for whats to come! Thank you to everyone who has inspired me throughout this year! I have never felt such beautiful creative energy before in my life! HitRECord means so much to me and its an honor to share and create with all of you! Here's to many more years of creating and collaborating! 

This is an image REmix of some of my favorite RECords that I've created with the help of all of you! To think I had never even opened photoshop a year ago!!!

So I was digging through some stuff tonight after moving furniture around the bedroom and stumbled across some old pictures I have in a box and found this one of my daddy. He served several years in the US Coast Guard as a rescue flgith crew member and remains to this day one of my absolute favorite real-life superheroes <3 Though I do have to say that wet-suit still cracks me up, heh.

I finally finished coloring via's lovely old picture...It's not quite perfect but I'm pretty happy with the result...some of the details like the eyes, nails, hair and red shoes were kinda hard to color...so please don't look to closely...:-) I left the background b&w to keep the vintage look.

Help! This awful lady has kidnapped these poor shadows and now they're homesick! Please help them find their way home...or at least write a tiny story to tell the world of their plight? :)

from my great aunt's very old photo album (circa early 1900s). i've been slowly coloring this in, playing with different textures and color schemes, but thought maybe you all would like to play at it too, or maybe it could inspire a little story (love the expression on the boy's face...) i think a bunch of different versions would be grand!

A drawing I did a while back which I added some colours and textures to - it's a little bit wonky :) The beautiful scene in the background is by mostlyharmless.

I took this shot around 2 pm, at this moment it was like 34 degrees and I was trying to get away from the sun so I found a tree and I just hide under and then I saw that it have this amazing purple flowers so I had to take this shot, it was great because the sun was peeking through the branches!

Whenever I feel like the weight of humanity is on my shoulders and I can't figure out why the world is the way it is sometimes.... I listen this piece. I imagine that its an opening for a film somewhere... either way, I like contemplative things.

I didn't even want to look at 'a new hevn' until I could get time in the studio to record. So this is my first time even seeing this story, let alone reading it out loud. I wanted it to be NEW, leaving space for the unexpected and unplanned. (There is also a video of this recording, but it needs to be re-formatted.)

These are the largest venues yet for us.  Both theatres hold 800 people and are gorgeous big venues so to speak. I am so excited.

FCP by Dr. Gory

So here is a little tutorial I made for exporting video using Final Cut and imovie. I know I had a lot of trouble figuring this out when I first started editing so I thought I would share my knowledge. 

Also I think it would be nice if we all exported our videos into MP4's or at least a file type that can be played on both Mac and PC. Converting videos is kind of a pain.

Hope you can take something from this that will help you on your video editing and exporting journey.

I was browsing through the "RE: Cities" collaboration and suddenly remembered this piece which I had sitting in my dust covered A1 folio.  This drawing/painting is actually one of my very old work, a timed exam piece I did for my AS-level Art (which is almost a decade ago), in which I chose "Cities and buildings" as my topic of study.

Although heavily distorted (based on H.R. Giger's style), some of you may recognise the Bank of China building in this drawing, which has been a landmark of Hong Kong for decades.  I was born in Hong Kong and have lived in the "New Territories" (the suburb area on the peninsula side) for a little more than 10 years before getting shipped off to boarding school in UK.  Back in those days, the only time I get to visit the city centre was on family outings, which I have very fond memories of.

During my attendance at a boarding school in UK, I only got to spend a precious few months in Hong Kong during the holidays and on every single one of my visits, I could see changes in the city's landscape - new buildings replaced the old, buildings that used to be landmark no longer exist, area that used to be open water replaced by land etc. 

The changes became even more apparent when the gaps between my visits lengthened.  When I went back during Christmas last year, I went to the shopping district where my parents used to take me and my brother to when we were young.  To my dismay, I discovered that I could no longer recognise any of the streets and buildings in the area.  Even the interior of the shopping mall where I used to spent a lot of my weekends in my childhood has completely changed to beyond recognition. 

Perhaps I am just being sentimental, but sometimes when I see another landmark that has a place in my memories being torn down, I felt like my memories associated with it was also being destoryed.

I love this fantastic drawings that Mirtle is been made for us, Lorna Mallora is an amazing character and we can make amazing records based on Lorna and all her drawings! This is a REMIX that I did with the amazing Metaphorest text and the awesome belcath's background!

Ok my first silhouette animation done in after effects! Please be kind. It took me 3 days to go over tutorials and figure things out.

If you like this, I will do more of it in the future. I think this format is great for shadow caste and many more..

So, I went back to the sight of one of my earliest RECords and did a bit of reminiscing.

You people mean the world to me. Thank you so much for this incredible 12 months. I cannot believe what a journey it has been. Who knows what dreams may come in the next 12.

I had wanted to make a visual representation of my story, Oliver and the Confidence Wig. This is what I came up with. However, that wig isn't quite what I had in mind in the story, I actually kind of like it so I used it.
