Sorry about the shoddy quality. I had to use my mac's camera since my scanner really only fits regular sheets of paper. But, in any case, this is some fingerpainting I did the other day because I got bored. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I think it looks pretty nifty. :)

I was looking through my old notebooks and came across this sketch I did about three years ago.

I don't know who she is, but I was obviously compelled to draw her.

I just wanted to give it a go on this... I don't know if I've achieve what I've wanted, but there's always room for improvement... The idea is that in the eye we see both reflection of who the person is and who she was/will be... I hope it makes sense and you are able to see what I wanted to do, else leave me a remark and I will clarify tomorrow... and try to improve it? <3

When the Sun set her Eye, her dazzle seemed to flicker here and there in candles of all forms.

I'm not very good when drawing realistically, so I usually stick to drawing cartoons, since they're more fun to draw and I'm better at them. "Face In Action" is my somewhat realistic sketches of facial features with a cartoon spin. Enjoy!

I fear that I might be paranoid. I lament that I may be depressed. I deny that I could be in denial.

The words of thesherbethead and AeB are marvelous and I would never venture towards outting or upping them, but for the sake of commonality, I made the ideas of depression and denial follow the same pattern as MaxBrixton's original story. This is still a very, very rough word-sorting, so feel free to mix things up!

The images are a mighty remix compilation as well, so a big, big THANK YOU to all the artists, esp to totallyjamie for pioneering the white-on-black boldness.

First I know nobody actually cares about what I say here, but I’m still doing it, coz I'm badass like that (joking) :P

1. Who are you and what do you do?

Hi... I’m Magda and I do/did a lot of things.... I am a metrologist, a nurse, I’m in business school and I’m now working for a company doing absolutely nothing “artsy”. I change my mind a lot.... as you can see

2. What's the origin of your artist name?

Ohh dear... when I joined, I just wanted to look around so I just used my universal user name, (don’t go spamming me now) that I had for almost 10 years. I didn’t really think I was going to post things, and that that would be my “artistic” name here, if I did I would of came up with a more interesting name.

The origin of red84ro is :

red- I like dyeing my hair red, most of the time

84- birth year

ro- Romania

3. What has been your biggest challenge with your art so far?

Everything... getting started, staying focuses on the project and not starting 10 things at one time and finishing none, trying not to redo something 10 times and realize that the image in my head was a lot better then what came out. And being a hitRECorder I now face a new challenges, first when I am passionate about something I fear hitting that big red button, I lack of confidence in my..... I don’t wanna say "talent" I feel like I’m blowing my own horn and i hate that, but i don't know what other word to use.

4. Who or what is your biggest influence?

I don’t know, really, I can’t say, sometimes things just start playing in my head and I feel the urge to bring them to life, other times is something I see or hear. I can start drawing a horse and by the time I’m done with it it’s something completely different..

5. What is your wildest story?

Probably having a gun pointed at my head in Bulgaria for accidentally trespassing on private property..... not a fun moment ! But I guess it makes for a good story...

6. What is the last book you read?

The God Delusion- Richard Dawkins

7. If you could be any character in fiction, who would you be?

Ohhh shoot .....I know you guys are not gonna like my answer but here it goes: If I could be Any character in Fiction I would have to say God - I could do a better job than him, and so could anyone else.

8. What couldn’t you live without?

Air ... the rest it's just a matter of perspective

9. What is your secret talent?

I can get out of standard issued police handcuffs, or used to, didn’t have the chance to try it out again... and NO it’s not what you think!

Or maybe you didn’t think it and I’m the only one with the dirty mind. :)

10. Tell me about the last dream you remember having?

I don’t remember the last dream I had, but I can tell you the most vidid, scariest dream I ever had, so much so that i still remember it even now, more than a decade after I was around 12-14 y.o and I dreamed that I was at my grandma’s house and my dad turned into a vampire and he wanted to kill me... I woke up before he managed to do so but I could not be around dad for days after the dream. And dad is a very calm, gentle person in real life, it was quite a scare.

11. What are you craving right now?

Butterflies in my stomach. Haven’t had them for a long long time and I miss them, I want them back! 

12. What was the last song you fell in love with?

Hard question......

 Pasarea Colibrii- Scrisoare de ramas bun a song before my time but you’ll need to understand romanian in order to realize how amazing this song is .....

and Dino Merlin-Love in rewind - heard it yesterday for the first time but can't get it out of my mind. It's such a catchy song, love it!

I never tried, we didn’t have hula hoops here wile I was growing up, but I probably can’t do it. My “athletic” skills are somewhere bellow zero.

14. What do you like?

A lot of things: Reading, drawing, listening to music, dancing even tho I suck at it, singing even tho i suck even more at it

15. What do you dislike?

Plenty .... from little things like this: “Omgz hav!n such a gewd tiem wif mai frendz” To bigger things like ignorance, hate....

16. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

People may not remember what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel

17. How and why did you start RECording?

I heard or this site because of Joe, but I stayed and started recording because of everyone else here, you are all so amazing.

Within our portrayed sutures we allow the eyes to see fathomed walls around our inner lights.  Only we truly see the world differently when we open our minds polarizing these lights down to the core.  An epiphany awakens telling me, " Hey, finally I see you and the new air around us."

Paris is quite possibly my favorite city.  I traveled there when I was in high school, and while I was touring around I saw this building with this face on it, so I had to take a picture.  I've always heard the old saying... "if these walls could talk..." it makes me wonder what this building would say.  I have a feeling it would be singing loudly and heckling tourists in French.

a face i made from the first eye i ever made on a computer, and the newest. I did change a bit shadows from the first eye, and make the skintone a bit lighter (you see it was kinda yellow before), and changed the color of the eyeball a bit. I know it looks strange, but i like it.. (:

Building up, sitting at the edge of my eye. I hear your voice. Squeeze my eyes shut and it trickles and it falls to join the rest.

If tear drops could stain a pillow, you'd see how much i still miss you.

the eyes are supposed to represent the aging process and different stages of our lives that we live through.

This was part of a series I did on eyeballs with different concepts sketcehed out in the retinas...this one is the divine numeralogical 12 around 1 theme.

This was hand drawn and since I can't even draw a stick person properly, someone can improve on this.

I just drew this because I wanted the tiny story to have a tiny icon too. I'm still trying to figure this all out. Okay, no more excuses.

These lines stood out amongst all the other poignant ones, so I felt inspired to put pen to paper again.
