this is something i doodled about posting a letter a while ago. its just an idea that i imagined for a story. so i just thought id upload it to share cus im so happy to see my drawing featured :)
it's about how the doll while looking up admiring all the floppy spaceship hats wishing she could wear one notices up above the puppeteers hands another planet and a boy looking back at her who looked a little lonely.
he too is a doll, from a long forgotten puppet show..and maybe he was watching the puppet show or admiring all the floppy spaceship hats.
when the puppeteer has gone to bed, she decides to write the boy a letter, she puts on her hat and boots and goes out to post the letter. the letter reaches the boy in a floppy spaceship hat and they soon become great penpal friends.
in 2008 i had spinal surgery and had to spend a month in bed. i tried to keep a doodle diary called 'spinal trip' and this is one of the doodles i did. i found it hard to focus so didn't do much drawing. the main thing that helped me through it all is my folks and humour. during surgery they put me in these support stockings and in my mind they were pink for some reason but i was high on morphine so that's probably not true.
p.s. i've read some wonderful sad funny touching stories today on hitREC, you are all such an amazing bunch of people.. the fact that we are all here sharing this way, this place, well it's a dream come true and one i'm very happy to be a part of.
from a greeting card series i made
inspired to upload this when i saw.. she cries inspiration by gleefulmalice from original drawing by jenyffer.maria - http://www.hitrecord.org/records/17931
i really loved Marielv's animation but felt the begining shot of him in his armchair needed something more so i decided to draw his living room as i imagined him in his armchair by the fire.
this really needs a lot of help as it is just a plain pencil & pen drawing..some vintage wallpaper on the walls would look epic and i left all the frames blank on the walls for anyone who wants to add pictures or drawings of distant family he might have. the mirror over the fireplace can be for him to look into or re-mixed into a painting. there is also space for more furniture if anyone wants to have a go.
happy re-mixing <3
