mirtle ran away with the Circus today..

i've done like 10 or more Circus ink drawings today, i can't stop!!

Although i have never been to a Circus because they used to freak me out, in recent years they seem to fascinate me more and more..especially the old vintage kind. So, inspired by Bloemday and her wonderful Circus Spirit and especially thrilled with Metaphorest who wrote the beautiful

Sid, the Kid who Ran Away from the Circus.

this first one is inspired by Sid :)

i will gradually add them so as not to bombard you all but just so you know, this is the first of many Circus characters and none of them are coloured in so go for it xxx

i don't usually draw real people but couldn't resist when i saw casey3photo's portrait..surreal and funny and made me smile the whole time i was drawing :)

as soon as i saw running water 06 by Larsene i wanted to draw. it's so innocent, even without sound and the fuzzy way it was filmed, i love it.

i used ink and coffee on watercolor paper.

inspired by Ryan's - i love the movies.

they made their own masks before meeting at the movies, a good prop for shyness. and were happy to find each other had thought of the same idea, gave them a warm feeling like this was meant to be as you can see..

they came out of the movies still holding hands and he bought her a balloon.

i loved the part were henv sung itself a boat and solemnly set sail so in this drawing i pencil drew lines to show sound coming from her mouth which i imagine was making the boat move a long..

i also found the many moons alone and growing numb really moving so i added them in a melancholy way as if they are looking down, i guess watching hevn sing x

so i read the first part of a new hevn, such a beautiful story.. so i had to stop reading and draw and this is what happened..
