Anyway. People keep calling this "the unofficial end of summer" but I think that's bull! We still have 3 weeks of summer, enjoy them! And hell yes I am going to wear white after today. SO THERE.
Anyway, on to the wonderful gems I found on HitRECord this week.
Oh, I have such songs for you all! And I realize I'm a little behind the times on a few of these. Sometimes I discoer things by accident okay, LONG after everyone else has discovered them. But then I think, hmm, maybe someone hasn't seen/heard this yet, and maybe someone will actually see these re-recs, and maybe someone will enjoy it like I do. I suppose that's really why I do re-recs.
SONGS:
1. We Stand Together by TheWayTimMoves. This is such a catchy, well-played tune and I can imagine all sorts of vocals over this. You know, it reminds me of Allanis Morisette, and not just because of the harmonica either. I found this, amazingly, through DianeFT, after she REmixed one of my comedy/tragedy contributions into poetry. (Which I have also included in my re-recs because she did an amazing job and summed it up so wonderfully.)
2. Booda, by bhard. WHY ISN't EVERYONE ON HITRECORD LISTENING TO THIS AND DANCING? This makes me want to bust out my old belly dance costume and get down with my bad self. So much effing fun, this song. Maybe my favorite thing this week. You magnificent bastard! ^_^ And I love the ending.
3. Right, so I realize by the amount of hearts that most of you lot are already well aware of Alpal's beautiful Wah-Wah Wanderer. I know I'm really late on this one, but I fell in love with it. BUT, have you all heard RJ's version, with guitar and kazoo? because it's brill! Direct to iPod.
4. There Are Skeletons In Every Closet by ceelum. You know, I love this because it's true. It's dark, and it's awesome, and it's true.

1. I really liked BB Joe Angel by LydiaSaskia for the image REmix collab. Well, I liked tons of them, and i loved the ones that got featured, but this one was awesome, too. I love stuff with wings.
2. Hati's Grey Mare. Gorgeous photography, intense subject matter, as usual.
3. FractalDusts's Elephant with Wings. From the mistress of image REmix herself! I love the way Dusty REmixes and does these composite images. They're so clean; they never look chopped up and pieced together. And this is just adorable and weird. Just how I love my records! :D
4. Story Hour by gemeinesHaschel - Just so cute, with that storybook, fairy tale feel to it. I loe the shading and the little details, and the adorable look on the rabbit's face.
And here's something that's not a song or video or animation or poem or... It's an idea. This is a really cool idea: HitRECord post cards! MissAmerica is right: we have so many images at HitRECord, and some of them you just can't REmix but that doesn't make them any less cool. I'd love to send a HitRECord postcard, or even just hang a few up on my wall. Think of it! Prints and such. It could be so much fun.
I like to have 9 re-recs, but this week I have 10. That kind of throws me off my game, but still. Suppose I could do 12, but that might be bordering on too many. So, I will end there. With 10. Which is not divisible by 3 and that's going to bug me all week.

Horse skeleton at the Natural History Museum in Oxford
Hand Drawn olde fashioned classic pen and paper. Its like 1am, and kinda rushed the photo so its abit low quality,....sorry! the wings are drawn on the photo but ill try upload them separetly, or trace some new ones xx

even gave it a little kuzoo intro for kicks ^_^
