My REmix of a stanza by AcopyofMe and Robo_J's REmix of Marke's Blues Riff
I love singing in my belting voice. :)
Lyrics
in the dead of the night
i wait for your reply
in the dead of the night
i wait for your deny
you said "hold on baby,
wait for my call"
now i'm hanging up hon
cuz you're not calling at all
i said don't worry baby
it was fun while it lasts
but i'm not crying my heart out
for some thing in the past
in the dead of the night
you wait for my reply
in the dead of the night
all i'll do is deny
So I just got fancy new RECording equipment (no more Macbook microphone!) and wanted to test it out and put up a better version of this song. Hopefully once I get more accustomed to everything it will be even better.
Music by TheWayTimMoves
Lyrics by DianeFT
Vocals by me :)
There's a video coming for this REmix soon, but I wanted to upload the audio file. I liked the idea of having the VO for part, and lilacamy11's singing for part-so I mixed in swaylooza and RECeBear's VOs along with my own, over megancarnes "The Scar" and I just love it.
Stay tuned for the video :o)
This is a work in progress, but I'm working on a song about what love means to mean, and this is what I have so far. Maybe you guys can give it a listen, maybe remix it...
<3
I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with lyrics to mcwally's brilliant song when it dawned on me to do something with spoken word. I originally recorded this VO for the Tragedy/Comedy collab, and I think the two actually work pretty well together.
I wrote this song a couple years ago, and I'd love for people to add to it.
I'm a little dee-dee-dee today, and totally upladed the wrong recording in the stems (it's been one of those days). THIS is the right version.
Added a little trombone line in the intro
First shot at putting everything together...
This is the original song recorded by Joe, plus my trombone parts and background vocals mixed in.
High trombone part for the last 2 choruses.
Low trombone part for the "Words We're Wailing" collaboration.
Wrote this guitar riff about 2 years ago, and have written countless different sets of lyrics, but none seem to fit.
An oboeist I am not, but I thought I'd give it a stab on trombone.
A little background on this one. I've always been someone who gets terribly restless and so I move around a lot. I've lived in 10 different apartments/houses, 4 states, and 5 cities in the past 5 years. Whenever I start feeling like I need a fresh start, I move somewhere new-and I kind of love that. So this is just kind of about finding solace in a new place when you really need it-a bit of a love letter to a city.
The song's in a bit of a funky range for me, so if someone wanted to re-record their own vocals, I think that'd be awesome.
Lyrics:
Dear Brooklyn, I finally left last night
I just couldn't take another fight
I've had you on my mind
Now suddenly I find
I don't know what to do, so here I am, running home to you
Dear Brooklyn, take it all away
Dear Brooklyn, let me stay
Cuz I can't make it right
And I just need you tonight
Dear Brooklyn, it all just fell apart
Won't you come and mend this broken heart
Please hold me in your arms
Let me get lost in all your charms
Tell me it will be alright
And let me stay with you tonight
(whistled bridge)
Cuz I can't make it right
And I just need you tonight
Dear Brooklyn
Dear Brooklyn
My trombone rattles in the low range (I've been trying to fix it for years) :-/
I only did the VO for Dana because it's the one I felt I could do best.
For streaming with my added parts (harmonies, shaker, trombone)
For streaming (it's not mixed well because, well, I'm bad at mixing audio) :) See zip file for isolated stems.
i really loved tonguecutsparrow's song, and wanted to see what it would sound like if it was played both forwards and backwards at the same time.
round and round and round we go...
