A voice over of Diane FT's lovely little poem accompanying Belcath's lovely remixed image. I think this could be a really neat animation, animators, illustators, composers/musicians want to put this to music?
According to Project Gutenberg, the copyright for this great short story by PKD has not been renewed.
Full text here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/31516
Anyone interested in providing an alternate voice to read the extracts from the book?
Updated with addition of TengkuBudimans awesome background remixing graphics - as its important to show more metaphorically at least, of what awesome creative shit goes down here!
What else - Well Cat-Cat recommended more shadowing around Joe - which she was totally right about so implemented that. TotallyJamie said the red sun sucked (basically) so heres one more in fitting with the style!
Added a bit more drama vignette etc, anyway hope you like!

The rhyming creation myth by wirrow and Metaphorest. I tweaked the words just a little, and my draft of the text is resourced below. And here I recorded a reading of it. There's already been lots of great readings of this poem, and I hope there are more to come. I think it might be cool to mix a grand multitude of voices together to tell this story.
The next thing that probably ought to happen is for visual artists to start drawing specific parts. Pick a stanza you like, or even just one line and turn it into any sort of image. Maybe pretty soon we could have a bit of a storybook slideshow going, which is usually an important step in big animation projects.
The day when I started believing again,
Was in fact an emotional night without end.
When the demons I thought I had put to rest,
The thoughts of abandonment with which I obsessed,
Came back to haunt me as I tried to sleep,
The peace I had allowed I could no longer keep.
My jealous emotions created hallucinations,
Of lust, betrayal and destructive machinations.
I slowly slipped into a paranoid seclusion,
A place where I wouldn’t allow logic’s intrusion.
I finally believed your claims of innocence then,
But now I sense her presence between us again.
When you said that you’d love me and stay forever,
All I could picture was you and her together.
You said my suspicions were pulling us apart,
But I knew you would leave me right from the start.
So on this emotional night without end,
I do believe I will be abandoned again.
- Halloween is the only day on which he would reveal his true self -
This is a bit of a weird one and probably a cliche idea... So I was watching the RE: Halloween video and have been thinking about what Joe said about masks, also the bit about how people would "transform themselves" for Halloween really intrigued me . One day on my way to work, the idea of this image came to me, with a story like "someone pretending to be somebody else everyday of the year finally snaps on the night of the Halloween".
I need to stop watching crime drama me thinks...
Equal parts Julian Fellowes, Stephen Fry, Clive Candy and Tobias Fünke
Rather less strident than Todd's reading.

Hey y'all,
I'm still getting used to this HitRecord thing. I just signed up literally moments ago. I just wanted to post this song idea I shared on my tumblr (mpolinar.tumblr.com) weeks ago and decided if anybody wants to sample/remix/etc., go for it.
Below are the lyrics I came up with...
(polinar)
Another year is almost gone
and still we don’t know if we gave it all and won
somewhere out there, they say life’s an affair of dreams
but I only see what’s unfair
truth sets you free money doesn’t grow on trees
we grow older, one step closer
And all we know no matter how long this life goes
keep singing, “long live hope”
so here’s to you and me

My idea for a postcard. Lovely images to remix!
Please, if you want to remix this image, use the one that I uploaded in better quality here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/805542 (I'm having trouble uploading large images)
I got really bored and re-watched Wirrow's curator video for Monsters Vs. Kids, and kind of got inspired, so I put together this thing. I know the theme now is like "Journal Entries". Don't know if this is good or bad, but I hope you like it. It was fun to be a kid again for a second.
I introduce to you Boy Scout Troop 387 or "The Wolfpack" as they call themselves, and their hunt for a tentacled monster. Journal entry number 14, dated September 7th (?), 2012.
P.S. I went through the collab after making this and realized I totally described Kim Low's "Zombiepus", which is awesome.
Ha! My first and 'cleanest' art ever done in my life!
I would usually opt for a much more 'sketchy' outcome but this time...I never imagined I outlined everything cleanly.
This is done entirely on Photoshop using a tablet, so, it may not look so 'natural'. I'm gonna finish up the colour by tomorrow or any other day but in the meantime, feel free to REmix, to those who wish to... :)
Inspired entirely out of music and the fact that Premium Rush is gonna be on theaters soon! - Hence the title 'Messenger Boy'

When I first viewed the Outsiders collaboration I thought it was extremely relatable. Most of us feel that way, I think, and we have a longing to connect and be accepted for who we are, free from judgment.
Unfortunately, acceptance does not come easily in a fearful world. Although being an outsider is something to be celabrated it comes with a price.
I did these sketches years ago and I wanted to contribute to this theme hoping that the images evoke a feeling of familiarity and reflection. They are not complicated images and I think they are relateable in their simplicity. Perhaps someone will run with one and create something beautiful.
Sooo, this is the illustration who inspired me for the tiny story intituled "Hidden Face" http://www.hitrecord.org/records/745618/forum
I wanted make like a poster for a movie... with Xanlee, Vedder and Joab Nevo :)
I hope they will enjoy this drawing! ;)
NEW VERSION - http://www.hitrecord.org/records/489816 Basically I just thought, how kick ass would it be to have Joe using the hr sun as a giant fireball while fighting a legion of copyright goon inspired robots! (party inspired by a cool game i sometimes still play on the c64 called escape from the planet of the robot monsters!) Thought i'd also do it in the style of a graphic novel etc too
(Resourced your cute robot Ryan, looking at it inspired the idea, another aspect of remixing - inspiration.)
Hope you like! Lawrie X
In less than 10 minutes the world would end.
That fact didn't scare him, as he had more or less mentally prepared for this day, months or maybe even years ago. He was much more concerned with the blank sheet of paper sitting in front of him. He had been somewhat of a moderately beloved author in his earlier youth, but now he was a clean slate of ideas.
Why the hell can't I think of anything worthwhile to say? He thought maybe for a moment he felt a bit of inspiration coming on but it was fleeting and the clock's insistent tick and the sounds of neighbors crying and singing and praying was beginning to drown out all of his cognitive abilities. No. Not today. Last chance. Think, there has to be something that he needed to get off of his chest, it shouldn't be this hard to be honest with yourself. He laughed nervously thinking how silly it was that even in the face of certain death, he was still too self aware and yet simultaneously detached from his own thoughts to be real with himself. It can't go down like this. He picked up the pen and put it to the paper, the clock was inching closer to doomsday (or Doom Infinite as the cooler, less noticeably shell shocked kids were calling it) indeed-every second.
7 minutes, 6 minutes, 5 minutes. Fuck me. 4 minutes, 3 minutes. I am destined to be the world's last great sham. 2 minutes. I need a drink.
Once there was only one solitary minute on this earth left, his grip on the pen and his anger and frustration suddenly began to ease off until he was calm and relaxed, holding the pen in between his middle two fingers, resting on his palm- the only way he had ever been comfortable holding anything capable of putting lines on paper.
The singing, and laughing, and crying and praying was almost impossible to hear now beyond the overbearing sound of oncoming waves and unstoppable heat. He stood up and walked to the wall. Fuck paper. He put the pen to the wall.
Dear Me, he started and the whole damn world went black.
It was the most truthful thing he had ever written.

Happy christmas, m'dear MaggieMudd! I hope this holiday season never fails to put a smile on your face! <3
it's not 100% Christmassy, but I really wanted to remix one of your poems, and also draw winter gear, and 'paper lantern stars' was just perfect, so I hope you like it. :D
much love <3
(this one also comes with an overenthusiastic pen version)

My first setting concept art. For your info, I'm still very green in drawing settings, so it looks amateurish and a bit 'off'.
Anyway, a little info about this illustration:
"Pandemonia exists between the world of the Living and Limbo, often referred as the 'road'. Murder victims or those who died a tragic death, will often enter Pandemonia before Limbo in hopes of finding an answer and possibly returning to the realm of the Living. Pandemonia's appearance is often described as chaotic and in utter disorientation with blocks of black and white cubes floating about. New doors and paths will reveal itself as the troubled soul finds new clues that will lead them closer to solving the mysteries surrounding their death. The glimmer of light that keeps beaming upon those who look up Pandemonia's 'sky' is the door that will return the dead to the world of the Living. However, as memory lapses very quickly in this realm, solving even a simple problem could end up to be a challenging task and as for those who have completely no recollection of that last moment of their lives, they will soon disappear in to Limbo."
