This mainly consists of loops. Do with it as you please.
I don't know what to say about htis one. I don't really know how to write music that well but I think I may have stumbled onto something cool with this one. Or maybe it's horrible and this will get deleted off the site.
It could use some vocals. Also it could use a good mix down. If anyone wants the stems for remixing just let me know and I'll put them up.
The song consists of ukulele, toy piano, xylaphone, harmonica and an acoustic guitar used as a bass.
Wanna dance like all the cool kids that are too cool to dance? Listen to this song then.
Ok, so I made this track, added the drums, bass, guitars, but that's all i could do. My mind just stopped working. So I figured why not let other awesome hitRECorders do the rest?
So the track is called "The Secret". Its just a title I came up with while listening to it, we'll change it later on once its complete. Its made up of 4 layers.
1) Piano 1
2) Drums
3) Bass
4) Piano 2
Musicians:
Just listen to the track, and add ANYTHING you think suits the music. Guitars, synths, harmonicas, heavy electric guitars, harps, vocals, ANYTHING! Just make sure that when you add the new layer, release it as a RECord mixed with this track, but also as a seperate STEM so it can easily be mixed.
Check the STEMS of this track once they're uploaded. I've also included sheet music for both Piano's, cuz it'll just sound 100 times better if anyone can play them with a REAL piano, as the ones on this track are from a VST.
Writers/Lyricists:
Your lyrics don't need to be on a specific theme, such as "The Secret". Don't keep the title in mind when writing, just write about anything you think suits this type of music, anything you want to write about.
Track details are:
KEY: G Major/ E Minor
Signature: 6/4 at 170BPM
I hope this works out well, really excited how it'll turn out.
Just a tune I had in my head...
If you ever feel like you're down on your luck or something, listen to this song and hopefully it will give you a little boost.
OK so this song needs some remixing. I left two versus open at the end. I think it would be cool to have this be a love song between a guy and a girl. Kind of a duet, you know?
Also there is plenty of room for additional instruments to be played on this. I put harmonica before my verses so I think it would be cool if you pick one little instrument to signify your parts too.
It's at 100bpm
The chords are C C G Am
On the first C though I dropped my middle finger down one string. I don't know what chord that is technically.
[Lyrics]
Well you make everything OK
You are why I got out of bed today
I don't know what I'd do without your kiss
Cause you are the life raft to my sinking ship
Well I hate that we fight every day
But I love you can't be every word we say
I don't know what I'd do if I was all alone
You are why I can call something home
I decided to fuck around with some blues scales and this is what I came up with. Definitely need some remixing on this one. Get on it.
I don't even know if this would even be considered Blues but this song kind of came from this Blues scale in A I was checking out. So that's why I called it a blues riff. Am I rambling?
I was sitting in the garden playing on old guitar when the airplane buzzed overhead..so I've left this uncut track to get a natural feel to it..tj
okay. so. This is my first ever true audio record. I was hoping to write a song, but I'm not great with words (what up small vocabulary) and I can't sing (yay tone deaf!), so I was *hoping* maybe someone can work with this. Right now it's just an instrumental, created with GarageBand loops.
When putting it together, the thought was to have the song be based around building and crashing, like slowly churning until overflowing. Not so much like pent up anger bursting, but more like a sea of emotion that grows until it's almost numbing (if that makes sense.)
BUT feel free to of course take it wherever you want. As I said, my first time EVER trying to do something like this, so I would really love your feedback - positive, negative, everything in between.
So it's been a while since I've been here and I thought, "Why don't I post an old song?" After browsing through my catalog for a bit, I decided to put this one up. Enjoy.
just the backgroung music i played for the video of this drawing
All of the great footage being uploaded for OWS has really got me inspired, and tonight after singing through some music for another project, I sat down at my computer and recorded this impromptu performance of one my favorite songs.
This Little Light of Mine is a public domain song, often considered a children's spiritual. What I love about it is how the simple lyrics (and I only used one set, the most famous, here) can be interpreted in a great many ways. For me, the song is about making your voice heard and your presence felt, and for that reason it's the song I think of whenever I see groups of people protesting.
A piano part that I wrote awhile back and recorded.
I would love to hear people add on top of it with other instruments!
Et voilà mes chéris....I've been thinking of this collab and the idea of independence. I started composing something and I came up with this. Again by heart <3
I really love this song, and I played with a few different ideas, but I kept coming back to the delay track, I hope you like it
A simple song, For You
Chord organ
Bass (x2)
Acoustic Guitar
Melodica
Bells
Whistling
Hitting a computer (kick sound)
Drum stick on a Cisco pix firewall
Just drinking some beers and playing guitar. Is it a good mix? I don't know and I don't give a fuck.
So I wrote this song off site and although I can't upload the vocals I did for the song I can however put up the guitar track I did.
This has a lot of room for collaboration. You could sing over it and play pretty much any instrument over it.
The chords are C, G, Am, F with a capo on the fourth fret.
Enjoy and remix

Real Frank Sammy Dean like... lol
kind of like a short story told by a few chords
Wrote a thoughtful little number on the keyboard and thought I would share.
