moi heartsssssssss
First track from an album in progress. Field recordings of conversations, highly manipulated and interwoven with rhythmic and chordal elements.
Best listened to through headphones.
a not-so-tiny tune for wirrow.
thanks to megan's beautiful piano additions and rob's absolutely spot-on mixing, this song has finally come to life after about a month of hard work. this is by far the hardest i've ever worked on a song, and i hope you all enjoy it.
i truly love this community, and i love the friends i have made from it. this song encapsulates how i feel about life, hitRECord, just...everything.
so anyway - thanks, everybody.
View from my rooftop tonight.
10 years ago I visited NYC for the second time. My family and I took a trip to Elis Island and the Statue of Liberty. We took photos of the NYC skyline with the Twin Towers still standing. A week later, they were gone.
I was 12 then. I couldn't even comprehend what was going on in the world.
I never thought I would be living in this city 10 years later. Today felt very strange...eerie. It hit me while riding the subway to work this morning; thinking of all those who took the subway that morning and never made it home.
The people here have kept on going, but they never will forget those lost. <3

RJ
and many thanks to Sarah for making such a wonderful and REmixable song (and the stems too!) <3
I found an old beat by BenWiley4000 and sang over it. I'd love if someone/several folk took this very bare track and made it fuller/cooler/everything-er!
My weapon is hidden on me
My bullets will pierce your blackened words
You’ll be sorry you spoke, sir
Revenge is not what I’m after
I want to illuminate is all
I am happy to let you fall
Don’t mistake me
For another fool
You can’t make me
Believe you
My melodies sing your sorrows
Just wait till tomorrow finds you limp
Oh your chances are slim, slim
And on your death bed, will you wonder?
Which of your offences stings the most
Are you scared of your own ghost?
Don’t mistake me
For another fool
You can’t make me
Believe you
EDIT: There are a lot of awesome REmixes that take this song to a whole other level, go check them out!
I loved wirrow's "things" tiny story and illustration, so I used it to write another tiny tune. I would love love LOVE to have this remixed, harmonies, instruments (especially where the vocals have just ended) oohs and ahhs, background noises, whatever you feel like doing. If anyone's interested, I could try to get a better recording without so much background noise. And stems. Just lemme know :)
CHORDS are G and B Minor
v1 Made by lots of hitrecorders for the awesome community here!
Will add the resources once this has uploaded!
This came out a little bit too PSA-ish.
Still... Hopefully I can make more!
I don't know what to say about htis one. I don't really know how to write music that well but I think I may have stumbled onto something cool with this one. Or maybe it's horrible and this will get deleted off the site.
It could use some vocals. Also it could use a good mix down. If anyone wants the stems for remixing just let me know and I'll put them up.
The song consists of ukulele, toy piano, xylaphone, harmonica and an acoustic guitar used as a bass.
I wrote it with headphones, so you should listen to it with headphones ;)
after having a quick little listen or two, this is what i heard in my head.
and since i'm without my guitar tonight, i used my synthesizers instead.
~hehe, that rhymed~
<3
And they're playing music.
