RECOLLECTION! For the sake of my excitement I had to capitaliza the whole damn, beautiful thing. For those whose week was made sublimely, uberly, fantatically, surreally, wonderful by the receiving of the RECollection Vol. 1, it's fucking awesome right? And for those who have yet to receive it, it's coming, I can't wait to see your reactions as you open it, and just know: it's fucking awesome. I know how much talent is poured out and remixed and fined tuned every day, but just having the physical manifestation of these labors of love is just a wildest dream turned into sweet, victorious reality. I've taken to telling all my friends, family, and even the entire theater department at my school, that's my level of pure excitement and I hope out of that I gathered some new recruits. I hope everyone gets a copy, and lets see what can be made for volume 2! Okay so in order for a Volume 2 to start existing, take a look at these re-recs and lets make some more magic!

Lighthouse-Niki-Gorgeous, one of those remixes of a handful of great resources. I need to get going on learning photoshop. I think this has the potential to go further, I want to know about this lighthouse. Story tellers, animators? Or maybe I'll just frame it.

Tightrope-readmooses-Love this rendering of the celebrated tiny story. It's sort of a dark interpretation, but it's like the feeling of trying to keep above water. I love the swirls representing the water, it's simple yet effective.

A hitRECord triumvirate for four-Djean-I instantly thought of that image of the Beatles with their four faces arranged similarly. These four put everything they have into this site, and I love the pop art approach to it.

Things, a tiny tune- Seeing this featured the other morning, I commenced to play at as I got ready for the day. Just amazing, and beautifully rendered. It didn't inspire the happiest of feelings in me to get on with the day, but I kind of liked that it evoked such strong feelings and I could feel Vickie's heart and soul in it. And I grew happy that this tiny tune of Wirrow's tiny story got to be featured. This has produced some awesome remix results everyone should have a listen to, and I think there's more room to expore and play around around with it.

Turn of the Bird-missamerica-I loved this tune, and I'm not sure if it necessarily lends itself to vocals needed, but definitely could work well in a video of some kind, animation. It sort of has a cinematic feel to it.

Dark Attack-JakeJuba- This song is so good. I love all the electronic beats, and the vocals are awesome. It reminds me of a multitude of different, alternative/electronic music like MGMT or Postal Service. Check it out, not sure if anything can be added but I at least like having it on my iTunes.

Afraid-sinnamin- As always any RECords to do with the shadow world is love, but this tiny story was so cute and it dawned on me, that's right in the pitch black, your shadow suddenly does disappear. No results for this yet, but I think it needs some illustration of maybe someone  entering into a room as a shadow peers around the corner afraid to go in. Love it!

Aspiration, tiny story-sBo-Awww, melted my heart in an instant. I love stories about the power of innocence, when children teach their elders how to view the world. An illustration of a child running towards the horizon comes to mind. Adorable.

The Ghost King-Reverie- I absolutely loved this. So well written, and I love the imagery. I'm gonna be a nerd here and say it kind of evoked a Lord of the Rings feeling. I want to see an illustration, some preferably male voice over, an animation to go along with it. Brilliant.

Turnip Head Premiere V1-Lawrie Brewster- Finally it has come to fruition! It was possibly May when this amazing story by Metaphorest arrived on the scene and Lawrie has so lovingly with the help of a great many hitRECorders created such a well crafted film. If this is the quality of version 1, I look forward to what ver. 2 will offer. Yay! 

Dream catcher experiment-lara-kay- I liked this short video, and all editing of the resources used. I loved that a dream catcher gets to have a say after it has the nasty job of catching all the bad dreams.  

Circulation-LilacAmy11- I love this circulation idea, circling around here. Amy puts together a great mix of visuals to go with the manifesto ideas. Short, but powerful. 

So here's just a taste of all the amazingness heaped out over the week. Hope everyone gets their RECollections soon if you have not, it's so well done and freaky exciting. And I couldn't decide which Amoeba poster to put up because they are all so amazing. Anyone fortunate enugh to go, have a blast! Love to all of you and everything you do.
