Collections of beautiful music pieces...
A theme of running away to go with naturenerd's awesome portrait of the idea of running away. Hoping these ideas would be used in something. http://v4.hitrecord.org/records/315030
I have the worst recorder ever but this song was in my head all day so..... <3

If you want to play the orchestra part with the piano track, you can, just take measures 5-12 (the main melody) and play them at half time, so quarters become eighths, and so forth. Do the same with the melody at the end (mm 27 -36). All the other measures are aligned...

Wow. So this awesome.
First, hey Joe. Glad you like the piece. I accept your challenge. And from the looks of things, Day has already uploaded a reading. So, I’ll start working on that straightway. And Day, it’s not merely the mic or music, it’s your superb writing and performance... And the accent :) Can’t wait to hear the next one... can you feel that pressure, isn’t it great. LOL
To everyone else, thanks for the lovely comments. Here’s to life, love and music... live long and prosper... so forth and so one... TotallyJamie, I too could also go for some Strawberry Bootlaces right now... Twizzler’s in America?
...Now about Strawberry Orchestrated.
I listened to Strawberry last night before I went to bed and when I woke up I knew what I wanted to do with the orchestra. This was before I read that Joe want’s it orchestrated. So, I will warn you that the timing is quite different from the piano version. It doesn’t sync to Day’s performance in the same way, as I took the liberty of a conductor, changing the paces to serve the melodies. Besides, I think the piano works best for Day’s monologue anyway, as it doesn’t get in the way. The orchestra version would be in the same movie, but different a scene? I could get it to sync, but it would take some time... maybe I’d thin it out too, so its not as dominant. Thoughts?
Either way, Jo. I haven’t seen the MMM movie. But Imma check out. You wouldn’t happen to have a direct link (I’m still learning to navigate hitrecord.com)?
I don't know what to say except this tune has been in my head for 3 days. It's yours, mes chéris. Again by heart.
Another one of my favorites with a nice American Southwest/Copland feel! Thanks for the listens hope you enjoy :)
Rainy days are good but rainy slepless nights are better..... so are TIC-TAC's. They helped a lot to compose this song. It's quite REpetitive but I hope you will enjoy it and who knows REmix it. Again by heart <3.
I saw the hypnotic and beautiful drawing by Lea Daniel , then I RE-read wirrow and Metaphorest 's work and composed this. I wanted to contribute to this collab for so long and there it is. Hope you like. Again by heart <3
I wrote it with headphones, so you should listen to it with headphones ;)
Originally written for a luxury car commercial. Very trailor bound music in my opinion, or might go well with an intense scene.
I originally wrote this for a short film about a woman who loses her husband in a car crash, but the film never finished.
Et voilà, mes chéris....Imagined during economics class, composed with a high amount of tea in my veins. Again by heart <3
I have found that little lullaby-y tune the other day, thought it was really pretty and decided to make a third harmony.
Hope you'll like it ! And maybe make you kids quiet. Hopefully.
Another oldie from 08.
piano bit I was messing around with + some possibly slightly inappropriate drums and filters.
Hello folks,
In finding this specific musical riff, I envisiged what I believe foxes are up to when they're not scurrying away from supposedly hearty human beings.
Despite the wet darkness and the slightly unwelcome feeling of the gardens, the fox cub catches a glimpse of the feather, drifting steadily a mere few inches above his reach. But a healthy leap will be all that's needed.
He jumps.
It was enough, and for a moment, the cub felt an incomparable softness, and with the softness, an equally strong desire. The feather wildly scattered itself lower, towards the mesmerised fox's face, until landing between his eyes. He closed them and the feeling intensified, but, within seconds, vanished as the feather was once again riding the night's gust. The fox began to sprint across the garden in search for the feather and the feeling. It was dark, but his eyes were fast and sharp, he spots the feather cutting through the dim light of a window lamp. But the cub's hopeful eyes were lost when rain fell fast and an early morning light chased the feather past the trees and into the day.

COMMENTS:
Great piece by joerud! Could be a good one to use as a soundtrack to a visual piece or remixed to expand on the story.
Would love to see this one go further!
so i'm walking at a forest alone at night, and it's almost completely pitch black, and i can't tell where i'm going. at one point, i trip over something and put my hand on a tree to brace myself (cue music). on the trunk of the tree, from my hand, a golden light emerges and expands to cover the whole tree. it then keeps growing and covering all the trees, bushes, flowers, and every other living thing in the forest (except me). at first i stare in wonder, then i get all happy and start chasing the light.
that is what this one is about.
I uploaded the stems if anyone needs them!
I left this version really simple, so there's plenty of space for anyone else to add some more instruments or vocals. The chords I used are C, Am7, F and G
Lyrics:
The wind came
And blew the trees
Turned the meadow
Into a golden sea
Dandelions flew
One seed at a time
Floating away into the sky
You laid your head
Down next to mine
We watched the circus
Marching across the sky
Dandelions flew
One seed at a time
Floating away into the sky
so... it's saturday, i'm bored, and this original tune was just begging for a little harmony and snappy fingers.
So... I think I've done just about all I possibly can do vocally with this RECord, my voice won't go any higher or lower. Anyone else wanna contribute??
Also, my editing skills are pretty pitiful so I apologize for the un-smooth loop transitions.
If anyone wants to play around with this, I can send you my garageband file. I must warn you that I recorded the original part without headphones (i don't know what i was thinking!?) so some of the layers bleed into each other. I can re-record them if anyone is interested and thinks it's necessary.
PIano undescore for pamagotchi's reading of Metaphorest's Cinema Verite.
I wanted to write this song as a dedication to Honeyboy, he gave me a lot of hearts and supported me through the years. This is a thank you to you honeyboy
[forgive the mess - it's been a while...]
something
is waiting for us to move
somehow
we'll make it through
jocelyn
i never meant to let you down
but somehow
i've managed to do it anyway
it goes in and comes out
we never seem to stay the same
and jocelyn
whatever i said to lead you astray
were stupid words
i never really meant to say
if you'd stop
and think about what you've done
we could heal
and let the pain reverse itself
it goes in and comes out
we never seem to stay the same
This beat is ridiculous. jcpeterson, you're a mad fucking genius.
I added a bass line and some guitar. I also extended it a bit more and played with the ending.
Nowherevillians Arise, voxless. Sing it, remix it, cut it, splice it, love it, lick it, Jedi-knight it, use it as the background to something, or do absolutely nothing with it! Whatever it is that'd be flippin' yer pancakes! x
