Just a place for me to organize all my records from this weekend.
Let me tell you about the disaster of a day I had Saturday, just trying to get to LA.
It all started at 6am, when I got a call from the airline that my flight was delayed from 7:40am to 8:00am. No big deal. Right before we were about to leave the house for the airport (I only have a 10-15 minute drive to get there), I get another call from the airline. My flight is delayed until 11am. So what do I do? I go back to sleep because the automated message on the voicemail has already rebooked my connection. When I wake up around 9am to get ready to leave for the airport, I get another call from the airline that the flight is delayed AGAIN. This time, to noon. So back on the phone I get, and after dealing with one rude rebooking agent (she wanted me to wait and fly out on Sunday!), I finally got to speak to someone who was nice enough to change my connection.
Off to the airport I went! Long story short, the flight was delayed at least three more times, until finally, FINALLY we took off from Scranton, PA at 4:15pm. The problem causing this massive delay? Something to do with the hydraulics. Mechanics were flown in from Chicago on a charter plane, and the part was riven up from Newark. In fact, that mechanics claimed up the empty seats on the flight back to Chicago (good to know that they were on the plane with us... made us feel safer... if the plane goes down, they'll be coming with us!). Once at O'Hare, an entire plane of passengers had to rebook their flights. I managed to snag a seat on a 6:45pm flight. (I took this picture while my iPhone charged as I sat on the floor near my gate)By the time we were on the runway preparing for take-off, it was dark out. I was too tired at that point to be pissed off.
Finally, FINALLY arrived in LA around 9:45pm. Navigated LAX, grabbed my luggage, and picked up my rental car. By the time I was finished with all that, it was somewhere around 11:30pm. I remember getting in the rental, entering the hotel address in the GPS and saying to myself that I would get to the hotel by midnight. So of course, OF COURSE, I hit ridiculous traffic on the 110. But my hotel wasn't far, so I was in my room around midnight and finally just went to sleep.
I'm pissed I lost the half a day I would have had in LA, had this not happened. But I understand that things happen. Oh well. It also makes me happy that I planned the extra days out in LA, because I would have been pissed if something like this had happened and I didn't have all that extra time.
Gleefulmalice mentioned on Tumblr tonight, the Again By Heart Collab that a group of us made before Fall Formal back in October. It made me realize that I never posted the group photo of everyone that was involved!
(Aaaaand I totally just realized that you can barely even see Glee in the picture!)
Thanks for taking the picture, Filmpunk!
I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LAUGHING.
I was taking pictures, so I missed the beginning. (And once again, I apologize for my ridiculous laugh.)
At this point, nice and early in the show, I was all about recording everything. And then as the show went on, I got caught up in everything and started actually forgetting to turn my camera on for things. D'oh!
(Oh my god. Seriously. What is with me and the laughing?)
Most of the night I was laughing because I knew when I went back and watched what I got, that Tagooey's hand would be in everything.
Where I come off as the biggest Pamagotchi fan ever.
So, apparently I am still learning how to use iMovie. So, here's the high(er) quality video of the "Love is..." skit!
This is not the whole song, because if I remember correctly, my video card got full right in the middle and I didn't realize it, so I'm uploading the part that I have. It is that reason that I didn't upload this back in October, but I thought now, seeing what the editors are doing with the Fall Formal footage, that it might be useful.
I Have No Cats from Fall Formal 2011.
Honestly, I'm not sure why I didn't upload this back in October. Couldn't tell ya. I just didn't.
RegularJOE and Tasha Taylor sing "Nothing Big" at Fall Formal 2011.
This, I know that they started the song and then after a bit I was like "I SHOULD TOTALLY BE RECORDING THIS."
So yeah, I was not the smoothest with the camera.
