This is just so I can keep track of stuff I've done for Halloween, like songs and such, and what I should base my costume on and such. Don't mind me! ^_^ It's just for my own organizational use.
Halloween is my Christmas. It always has been, for as long as I could understand what it was.
When I was a very wee lass, like back in the 70's, I lamented to my Dad that, while there were so many Christmas carols, there were no carols for my favorite holiday: Halloween. So my Dad, singer/songwriter that he was, decided to write and record one for me. Lyrics are by Jimmy and Judy Dee (my parents) and music is by Jimmy Dee. This is just a Halloween carol, and does nothing to showcase the amazing voice and range he had. But, please take this Halloween carol and enjoy it, do with it what you will. While my Dad did get some money from his records back in the 50s, 60s and 70s, (he was a Tin Pan Alley singer,) later on he mostly performed for various charities, and just for the joy he got out of performing and recording. My Dad's songs were meant to be listened to and he would have loved HitRECord. :D I hope someone out there will get a kick out of this adorable ode to Halloween. ^_^
I wish everyday were Halloween, so I could always wear a costume. I always make my own costumes, never buy them from the store. This one year I was a four-tailed Kitsune, and I had these green lights in my yard that looked like foxfire. I still have no idea how I became translucent in this photo; it was a neat accident. :)
(Adding this to the zombie collab. This was one of my first records on here. It is extremely silly. But please feel free to use any footage or whatever.^_^ )
Also adding this to the Halloween intro, because there are a few scenes of people in zombie makeup leaping around, and some zombie noises. ^_^ (I think this was the second video I ever made for HitRECord. :D )
Clearly none of us has much experience in either film or music, unless you count growing up on cheese-filled zombie movies, playing too many hours of Resident Evil, (you have to love how they all limp after a zombie touches them,) and poking at a fake piano. But we wanted to do something humorous, and Halloween-themed, so we went ahead and RECorded this anyway. So: Two hours last weekend; my Canon 12 pixel PowerShot; zero budget unless you count chocolate sauce; me making zombie sounds and scare chords on my tiny Casio Sampling Keyboard from literally 1986; and the parking lot and local mall where we go twice a week to learn Kung Fu. Hilarity: we aim for it. Yeah, and totally forgot to put that first scene in black and white. EFFING MOVIES, HOW DO THEY WORK. But seriously, yeah, go vote no matter what. ^_^
(Adding this to the Halloween collab because there's like a two-second long bit of Zombie!me blinking a maggot out of my eye. Also because there's some mad awesome footage by others that I gacked for this video, too.)
Another Sorrow Bird video! :D Well, what can I say, I really like this poem. And I thought that the videos and readings for it were fabulous, so I kind of wanted to steal a few and make my own mash-up.
I begin to think I rely on filters too much. But cred for going outside half-covered during a blizzard and wearing big stupid wings, and putting worms on my face? ^_^

I WISH: For people to have a look at this, that's all. It took me months and I could have been arrested while filming it. :D And I'm really proud of my Island's own little X-File and I want to share the (possibly true?) story.
I need to thank Metaphorest for helping me scan the original poem, first of all. Sbambrick for this beautiful music. Todd for the great collab and especially for his AWESOME voice over! What an incredible job!

This does not fit in with a round robin. I'm sorry for letting this run away with me, but gosh, it really got me thinking. I'm aware that I fixate on death, because I've seen a lot (too much... |

In which I attempt to answer some questions, and give some thoughts of my own on the season, the reason, and my own love for this holiday. (And why I keep Halloween in my heart year 'round.)
Hope this is along the lines of what you were looking for, Joe! ^_^
Here is just some random, disconnected scary-ish stuff. Be warned, some of it is bloody and there are spiders. Also, Jared Leto. No, really, it was a few Halloweens ago. ^_^ Remix or use for whatever, if you wish!
So, Day Glo was nice enough to give a heart to my Re: Halloween video and added, "Awesome. However, I must say, I was really hoping you were going to fade out at the end there and disappear from the frame in the graveyard."
I was like, HOLY CRAP, YES.
So here is an alternate ending to that. ^_^
