I wasn't able to go to the Fall Formal due to me being only 16 years old and my parents not letting me travel to LA alone.. But, thanks to all the wonderful contributions you guys made, I was able to see what a truly amazing experience the show was. =)

Here's a few idea's I had for an inrtoduction or something for the HItrecord at Halloween! Discovered Matt Conleys after I had started but have remixed some of the cool bits from that into mine, so cheers Matt.

Hope someone can find some useful bits to maybe remix into something better...I think it could be a little more dynamic (like Matt's version) but I liked Megans track too much not to use it....maybe a funky remix of that would be cool?!?!

A slight departure from my usual style in the sense that this is a lot more messy than my usual work.  Apologies for the epic fail at anatomy as I didn't use any reference for this due to the fact that I don't have any male friends with a spiffy suit in my vicinity and asking my work colleagues to pose for me is just plain awkward :P

I had this image in my mind ever since I read the original text a couple months ago.  The first image that popped into my mind has a few more things in it but as I fear they may give away the identity of the mystery man, I decided to omit them.  However I may revisit that idea and draw it out someday just so I can get rid of this "idea itch"...  Also the original idea I had was to paint this with ink on watercolour paper but due to the fact that I live in a shoebox size room, I don't have the space necessary to mount + paint anything larger than A4 :(  So I had to settle with imitating dry brush effect in Photoshop...

My first video edit. I cut together part of aurora188's song "Spooky Romance" with "Rendall Bad Balloon" by venns and then decided to create a visual nightmare for it.  

I would love constructive feedback on my video editing as I'm currently teaching myself Final Cut Pro. Please please please tell me what was good, what could be better, what I could add, if you think it gets too cluttered at any point, etc.

This is the result of a rather ambitious idea I had a few weeks ago. I was reading through The Actress and the Sorrow Bird, which was script Metaphorest had written for Fall Formal 2010, when we were asked to come up with a live performance that could be performed on stage. She used her wonderful poem, The Sorrow Bird, as the center piece of her script. 

Last week, I decided to try and adapt it to film as best I could. My resources were limited and we (Jim, my stepfather, who directed me) had to adjust a few things to really make it work for what we had. Our idea was that while in the middle of performing this play, the actress sees the sorrow bird and falls into a trance, causing her to recite the poem, and the story goes from there with everyone on stage and the audience being unresponsive until the very end. 

I don't think I 100% fulfilled my vision, but overall, I'm proud of what we did. Some things had to be pantomimed, other things had to be performed off stage with added lines. We also couldn't incorporate the Poe reference, so we did it by making the play the actress was starring in Poe's only play. 

So, I'm uploading this as a resource. Use it as you like. I have a ton of raw footage as well. 

I love this idea so had to conjur up something fun!

Made this 2 years ago. One of the first things I made not using a pattern.

I'm kind of fascinated by cameras inside cars and the view from that ride was freaking amazing, it had to be RECorded.

The song by The Morning Hollow is fantastic and it kind feels like the way I was feeling during the RECording of this video - you know what I mean? - anyway... that's it

I wrote a sill little Halloween song. Check it out.

I’ve never really done anything like this before, ever, and am really happy with the results! I wanted to make a spooky short for Halloween and searched the site for a text record to use and wound up finding Metaphorest’s poem. Luckily there was a very creepy and wonderful reading done by rachelb of the poem.

MeganCarnes created this brilliant Little Horror Theme, and Johnnyclyde added some extra spooky elements to it, and they created this incredible audio record that just inspired me so much to turn that little reading into a longer video.

Though I know the poem was originally inspired by an image of a doll by Lindseyd, I interpreted it as a poem about a woman who makes you fall in love with her, but then turns out to be a vampire and sucks the life out of you. So I’m hoping the words work with what MikeK and I recorded. I think it makes sense, but hey I obsessed over it for a few days to make sure it works out :o)

This actually went through a few changes. First it was going to be a video with a girl and a guy and then at the end the girl bites the guy. Then it was going to be a long take of just a girl. And the third script I wrote ended up being this.  I really wanted to do the long take, but we didn’t have enough space to work with, that would have been so awesome! And this was all supposed to take place in a cemetery, but the closest one that is open at night is 50 mins away…and I couldn’t break into the ones close by, ya know how it goes. And we couldn't shoot too early in the day, vampires don’t like light. We shot this around sundown in a shaded area.

Side note: I crashed into a tree branch while shooting one of those twirling scenes and cut myself! I have a large gash on my lower back haha. I thought the branch actually punctured me and went into my body!! Haha, now that would have been creepy :o)

Big thanks to MikeK for shooting this for me and doing a damn good job at it too, exactly how I pictured it :o)

In this version there's a movie theatre introduction assembled to coincide with new voice over samples as well as additional horror movie cuts, more red hues throughout, and logos and inserts created by 12:42.

So here is a quick animation of "Escape Artist" by Bowtiesarecool. This could be used for an intro video for the halloween show or just for something spooky in general.

I added some guitar strings being wound up and broken just to fill the silence and because turning your tuning peg and having your string break on you is one of my biggest fears. You obviously don't have to use this audio though.

So enjoy and happy remixing. I do have a high res version of this but it's over 300 megs big so if you really want it for remixing purposes let me know and I can email it to you cause I don't think a file that big will upload to the site.
