Around this time of year
Evil gnomes cast their spells upon trees
They make them drop their leaves
Their skeleton fingers point towards the sky
In celebration of Halloween

That the Vampire loved his skeleton girl
Was an undeniable truth
But whenever he tried to nuzzle her neck
He invariably broke a tooth

I love this story but through illustrating it I've discovered that it's difficult to make a skull have an expression of concern.
A drawing for Proi's Halloween 2011 collaboration.
Not exactly a classic halloween image but the last time I wore fancy dress this is what I dressed up as but on a much lower budget. I braided toy rubber snakes into my hair. Oh, and I actually wore a dress with it.
Remember when we were werewolves
And we howled at the moon
Ran wild through the woods
Made love in the gloom
Then we had all those pups
And I had to shave
Had to get a day job
Learn how to behave
An illustration for saintmaker's great story 'When We Were Wolves'
I had this image in my head for this rhyme as soon as I read it and I quite liked the idea of him leaving some fur to form some hair and have cut himself shaving.
I love this howling good tale! ....Yeah, I know. I should be ashamed. I'll get my coat.
An attempt at a Halloween bumper.
I'm going to get more footage (and steadier footage) for anyone interested as soon as I can borrow a tripod as mine broke as soon as I started filming. I guess it doesn't like pumpkins very much.
I wanted to do a sketch with a child's perspective of trick or treating which can be kind of terrifying when confronted by strangers you're actually allowed to take candy from.
Some Halloween themed reRECs and playing with masks.
Please forgive the overuse of certain phrases and for mispronouncing names and in one case saying the wrong RECord name entirely.
I love Halloween and always do something to mark it. On the night I'm doing one of two things; I'm either out with friends and in costume or I am at home watching horror movies with occasional pauses to answer the door to give out sweeties to trick or treaters.
This is a picture of me with my friend Red and is one of my previous year's costumes in which I dressed up as the female Mad Hatter. As part of my costume I even had a pocket watch that was broken. Not a problem though. I just said "Of course it tells the right time! It will be correct twice today!" I'm method, damn it.
There are no plans this year so I will be carving pumpkins, watching horror movies and dishing out sweets. Still trying to decide what movies will be a part of my marathon though.
A self-portrait of Halloweens past and present. I don't think my tastes have changed much when it comes to Halloween. I've just got taller.
Well, he said upload pictures of old costumes - but going through my old photos I was shocked that this is the only picture I could find of myself on Halloween when I was at uni. Anyway, here is the old reliable Halloween Cat costume done by many.
