A majority of the black and white illustrations here were done with Scratchboard techniques, my favorite medium/style.
My second favorite Illustration medium/style is colorful and cartoony computer vectors, can you tell? ;^)
"4 more?"
Pen, Ink & marker illustration on clay-board, then scratch-board techniques to carve out detail, scanned in and digitally finished.
Question: Do you think this would be stronger if I had 1 or 2 balloons floating away in the background, plus 1 or 2 strings and popped pieces on the ground? Thoughts?
New version. The last version's background was too detailed/distracting for how quick of a cutaway this will be, and the flower/characters looked WAY TO MUCH like Octopussies (hee hee) and not flowers. This is cuter, with the flower opening, anyways ;^)
All yours - make these deers come alive!

These illustrations are random, but I made them forever ago for a freelance job. The work is no longer being used, and instead of these guys just fading away I thought I'd upload them on here in case they can be used again some how. I have no idea what for, but that's your job - go!
I broke things apart and exported as a PNG with a transparent background, for ease of reMIX use.
Amongst some Rainforest foliage pieces there is an Okapi, a Toucan, a Hoatzin, a Green Anole, a Ring-tailed Lemur, a Tasmanian Devil, a Jaguar and a Red-eyed Tree Frog.
Like I said on the first RECord (without background): I couldn't help myself, I just had to get in on all the "Eat You Monster" fun! My reMIX in Vector Illustration.
With out the backgroung, just the monster alone - http://hitrecord.org/records/670826
I made this piece (with text on the banner) for another project, and I thought removing the text would be a perfect way for this to have a lot of reMIXing possiblity on hitRECord.
A watercolor and colored pencils illustration on clayboard, details then scratched out with scratchboard tools.
Even if you don't like the content of the RECord, it is high-res with a lot of great color and texture you can extract for remixes. Be sure to Download to see the fine details.
A very LONG OVERDUE illustration for karinlewicki's challenge from GabyVaughan's hitRECord challenge 2012 collab.
Better late than never, and at least I got it done before 2013 ;^)

karinlewicki remarked:
I challenge you to make a drawing or graphic story page that's the "one last score" set-up, but it's a six or seven year-old plotting a heist of a cookie jar.
Or heist of [any send-up object, really].
Good luck with school stuff!

I will add to appropriate collabs once that "bug" is fixed ;^)
"But... it has two eyes!"

I made this for that challenge, but thought I would share it on hitRECord as well for remixing and/or maybe a Tiny Story?
I remixed my own illustrations together = a snail girl + tea time.
Does anyone have a Tiny Story to support this? <3
Also, this lil' gal is available as a fun little sticker to purchase too, here - http://www.redbubble.com/people/brookeduckart/shop/stickers?ref=shop_product_refinement - Just sayin' ;^)
I have been uploading so many reMIXes, I thought it was time for an original. This is a Still (keyframe #106) from an animation I am currently finishing up.
I created this on un-inked scraperbord by making a hell of a lot of green Sharpie marker swirls, enough to make this completely green, then I added detail with India ink and black Sharpie, and finally carved the sh*t out of it with scratch tools to bring back to white elements. It turned out to be a sort of zen doodle.
Not sure what the community will do with this... but I cannot wait to see.
Again, by <3
