A place i go near our home in the Texas Hill Country ...a secret place...the river is pristine and in the morning the suns rays filter through the trees, creating angels, and monsters, and fairies, and quite often the faces of people i have loved and are no longer here...but they are there.
DeLiLaH asked for a wide angle view of the tree, so I went to get one, and noticed something I hadn't before. It's in the original photo too, but here's a better shot. Looks like a face, doesn't it? I figured it might be fun for someone to play with here. I'm uploading a few shots of this tree now.
(Actually, in the thumbnail I saw while uploading this, it almost looked like a Munsch-style painting!)
OK, here's the frog/toad I see in shootinlife's "Twisted wood."
He's sitting on a sofa or in a comfy chair, his left leg folded under him, his right leg dangling down (and eclipsed by an ottoman, perhaps?), his left arm reaching into a bag of chips that his right hand is holding, and he's looking to his right toward his conversation partner who's probably in another comfy chair. Perhaps this was during the Super Bowl.
This is the bottom corner of a painting hanging in the vestry at work. I personally see this bit of (water?) damage as the head of a mid-to-late-nineteenth-century man with a moustache. His eyes & nose are missing, but his hair, ear, and part of his mustache are very clear to me.
