All hearts given for this week.
As always, with the dashboards being so spotty, if there's anything you really want me to see or respond to, send it here.
And forgive me if I accidentally un-RECommend somebody's RECord as I'm still getting used to the add button being down at the button.
Calm afternoon, light breeze , swaying tree brushing their leafs, the soft sound of air brushing through the grass. The air is light and sweet, laughter flows in from afar feeling me up with the emotion of peace and happiness. In the lowest times I am always reborn again.

This is an animation made from one of SFBakstad's timelapsed lily videos. Each frame was modified by a variety of hitRECorders & then mixed back into the sequence.
The video shows 4 different versions: full speed, slower, less than half speed (so you can see the individual frames more clearly) & then the full speed again for comparison.
The frames were modified by: rejjie, jelly bean, adhgraphicdesign, brookeduckart, moonbug & Duddelmaus! Thank you all for your contributions! :)
Now... where do we take this next?

As soon as I saw consh's "Princess" I knew I had the perfect background. The background image is one of my originals that can be found on my website www.adhgraphicdesign.com The original photo was taken by my sister Kristi Hilton while she was in London. She gave me the copywrites to her photos and I created unique pieces of art from them :)

I don't know about you, but I can be a little impatient sometimes. I occasionally turn into a GRR monster while waiting for a video to encode, or an important email/phone call, or a train to pass, etc. So I made this vid in honor of those of us who are still trying to master the zen of patience.

I saw this beautiful performance of themetafictionist and I really liked because I'm just like her when I have to wait for something. So, I added this audio of a clock ticking because I think it causes a greater impatience when it is seen, transmitting the emotion to who's watching.

I love how these versions of Tiny Stories books show the evolution of hitRECord in this last year.
The first being a simple collection printed on paper. (August 2010)
The second being a bound edition we published ourselves. (December 2010)
And the third being a bound edition published by a renown publishing company. (December 2011)
All that growth in just over a year! :D
Inspired by the song "Delicate" by Damien Rice
Mixed media:
Dictionary paper, indian ink, tempra paint, paper, clear plaster, chai and coffee

She is suppose to be enraptured like silent film which represents the unspokeness of who she is and how she feels.
I used certain dictionary pages and created small designs around the words that describes her.
The lighing in the picture doesn't do the painting justice but hopefully it will come alive in your discoveries.

Yesterday I received a call that my sister in law was in the ICU, when I first heard the voicemail I thought the caller said my 3 year old was in the ICU. I almost gave myself a heartattack in the middle of Sam's Wholesale. I thought I'd record what it would be like to have actually received a call about my daughter. This is a first Record for me so be gentle ;p
messy, many takes, 'pologies Matthew.
I thought of this idea when I shot the "waiting..." footage last night. Going through LizSmall's emotions collab inspired me to pull some of the footage from contributions there into making a commercial for the new Tiny Book of Tiny Stories, Volume 1. The pprescott released her gorgeous footage and I decided to give it a rough edit tonight.
There are a few things I'd like to work on:
1. The voice over. I wrote this out really quickly, and I'm not 100% pleased with it. If someone could remix it, I'd love to hear their ideas. I'd like to keep the VO focused on emotions though, as that's the footage I want to use. The footage I select is tied very carefully to the VO, so that's something to keep in mind:
Are you worried about what to get your friends and family this holiday season? Bored by the same old presents every year? Frustrated by large crowds and long lines? Well put down that book and check this out! The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories Volume One is here! Filled with page after page of impeccably illustrated, beautifully brief tales of happiness, sorrow and everything in between, the Tiny Book of Tiny Stories is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Available online or in stores at any of these fine retailers, you can get yours today and turn that holiday drear into holiday cheer!
2. More shots of the Tiny Book of Tiny Stories, Volume 1, in much the same way as pprescott has provided. I think it would also be great to get footage of people holding the TBOTS and being really happy about it.
3. More emotions, especially as they relate to the emotions in the VO. I'd like a variety of takes on them, but I'm leaning more toward "big" because I want to keep this sort of lighthearted and fun.
4. A good background music. Suggestions are welcomed.
So yeah, definitely open to any feedback/advice/help you're willing to give!

we'll revisit some of these moments to see that we were touching upon real stories for the very first time. |

I'm going to get the kidlings to record it in Korean next week.
You hear me say, "Shija" at the beginning of the video, it roughly translates to "start now" or "go now". Sort of the Korean equivalent of "on three".

"Sean" is the first track on the album As the Head Turns (Amazon, CD Baby). HitRECord is the first place I have chosen to release the track for free. I may even post stems soon...
Please, please, please let me know what you guys think! And remember that half of the proceeds from the album and its songs go to the NAEH (National Alliance to End Homelessness). Thanks!
A remix of two seriously awesome RECords...!
This came out a bit Bob Dylan ^_^
*Headphones are probably better*
I'm obsessed with this song. Incredible. I think it would be really cool to hear someone else's voice sing this part! (Personally, I don't think I have the voice for this. I hear it different in my head!) (:
I've also uploaded a ZIP file with the vocals on their own, which you can find in results.
I sang along with the chorus, and also recorded a new verse! Lyrics below:
Well shake your feet out, press repeat
We're recording and sounding sweet
Bring yourself and lend a hand
Lend your voice to the family band
A whistle here, a shoopshoop there
Finding music everywhere
Everyone can play a part
Here we go again by heart
