A collection of videos I found on the site that I thought might be good for editors to use for the "And a New Earth Reprise" remix.
Short in Chicago by EnjoyDuane
:10 Staticky TV into a neatly organized table from above that includes pills and cigarettes 1:46 A man pacing back and forth
(Note: I actually tried to find more footage of people pacing because I think that's a visual I'd like to see as part of this remix. People pacing like they're stuck in a cage wanting to escape.)
RE:Cities - Richies result cut by RichieMillennium
2:10-2:40 Busy city moving quickly by
(Note: Maybe it's the influence of the original, but I would like to see more timelapse of places in this, especially of people and traffic on busy city streets.)
Patters and Prayers (historical remix) by Kavonne
:31 A 1950s family sitting down to dinner and all bowing their heads to say grace 1:10 elevators going up and down quickly in a big building 1:46 city traffic going by quickly
Hypnotist's Eye video by seasonticket
:44 There's a hypnotist putting a woman into a trance.
Time Warp to School by heraldchia
:22 There's a man walking very slow while people walk quickly around him on a street. There's a few instances of this during this video. It's a cool visual and worth checking out.
End of Line by heraldchia
:59-1:35 A man looking into a mirror in anguish. B&W
The rest of these are more stock footage and any part of the video could be useful:
bonfiresparks by ellieyah
Great footage of the embers flying off a bonfire. Would be good for layering over other video or for a beginning or end image.
Dollar$ by MattConley
Public domain footage of money being made.
bare b&w by ppresscott
B&W stock footage of a woman's face.
And a New Earth - stoic face visuals by lizsmalls
More great close up stock footage of a woman's face with a city and traffic in the background.
Candles from afar by cerebis
Cerebis has a lot of great stock footage. I like these candles a lot. Good for layering I think.
Pocket watch by msmeganonymous
Time lapse footage of the hands on an old style pocket watch going around.
Rain water and Sun on Swamp by Alley West
These are just some pretty nature shots. I see in some part of the video showing how beautiful our natural world is compared to the physical, man-made world we're all supposed to strive to be a part of and the physical things we're supposed to revere. There's a lot of stock footage of nature on the site, these are just two I happened upon and liked personally.
Metronome by missamerica
Stock footage of a metronome. I like the idea of clocks moving and time ticking by. Maybe getting faster and faster as the video goes on.
Takin' over the streets by malaseka272
A large group of young people walking down the street after an event. I think footage of groups breaking away and rebelling is a good visual. I know there's more of this type of footage in Joe's Occupy Wall Street album as well that might be useful.
Retracing Faith by jordanwalkert
FYI on this one, the music is not the artists but the visuals are, so just make sure to take out the audio if you use it. That being said, the visuals are excellent. It's video of a church that was set on fire at night. There are police cars and fire trucks and haunting shots of the church itself aglow.
I will try to update this album as I find more resources. :) Happy editing! ♥
This poem reminds of the following quote from Maya Angelou: “Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances.” I incorporated lots of public domain footage along with works from our community. Here are the links to the public domain footage. Here is some historical stock footage of money that I think would lend itself nicely to one of the "Occupy Wall Street" videos. I transferred it into a 16:9 video file and preserved its original 4:3 aspect ratio.
The following Public Domain footage was used:
"Doubtful Dollars" - http://www.archive.org/details/doubtful_dollars
I've been playing around with the idea of shooting more video and I was experimenting with a lens. I just thought that this might be useful for someone.
Don't know if this is useful, but Cameron wanted some more stoic-like faces and stuff for the remix. Or maybe this can be used for something else.
The hi-res version of this had an error D:
I am working on some city/signs footage also. Should be up in a few days.
Created from a video clip of 15 candles, multiplied, rotated and placed in After Effects.
pocket watch time lapse :]
I'm not a video editor but i love the look at sound of the rain and water. Maybe this can come in handy for someone.
Clip of the sun dancing on the water @ Woodhaven Swamp @ Belcarra National Park in British Columbia
My metronome is broken. I took it out to record some stock footage, and it's off kilter jst a bit. But, I'm sure this will come in handy somewhere...
