Well, well I had a red and an ivory bag for the popcorn, but I went with black - more elegant - Hehehe :-) The candy didn't quite look the way I wanted it to, but... oh well. I'll give it another try later. I'll make it cuter. I mean, sexy. It's-gonna-be-sexy! :-) Hahaha

I loved G R L's popcorn and pop (soda), but thought the popcorn needed butter! I figured I'd do my best to make the background transparent. Anyone who uses it can probably fix the flaws!

JESTERLADY - A Poem

I'd like to say a few words about Jesterlady

That I'm sure you'd like to hear

Always with a smile on her face

And a flower tucked behind her ear

She is so supportive of others

And has so much love to share

We eagerly wait for her weekly albums

To see if our RECords are there

When we are sad and need comforting

She'll give us a hug to brighten our day

If we are in darkness

Like a beacon of light, she'll show us the way

She doesn't see anything wrong

With foxes and bunnies holding hands

Whenever raindrops fall

She can hear them tap dance where they land

She organized the skeletons in her closet

One lazy afternoon

Jesterlady would love to travel the world

Holding onto a little red balloon

That we find that special someone in our life

Is her heartfelt wish

And so, in this joyous season, Dear Jesterlady,

I would like to tell you this

Your wonderful words of encouragement

I'm really so grateful for

HitRECord would not be the same

When I was told by Kat that my Secret Santa friend was Jesterlady, I was excited and nervous at the same time because I didn't know what I was going to do. I went through most of Jesterlady's Reel and used the tiny stories she has written.

P.S. The snowman was drawn by my niece, I painted it on glass ;D

Here's my take on illustrating The Man with a Turnip for a Head, paper-cut style. I've been wanting to do something with this story for a long time, and I'm excited that we'll be working to make it into a short film for Sundance!

 Took this before I discovered hitRECord and all of it's awesomeness. At the time these struck me as lonely and beautiful, so I took this picture. I just rediscovered this while looking through some old photos and I yelled "AGAIN BY HEART!" I took that as a sign that this picture belonged on the site and here it is.

So, starting on this edition I'm doing my best to sort through the people who accidentally added their stuff up as a collab instead of RECord before I put it up. Basic rules are - if you have no words and no pictures, I don't add the collab on the list OR if I see you have a RECord by the exact same name with the same text in the collab, I pretty much assume you didn't mean to make it a collab. That's just sort of a simplification for me. If you notice your collab was done in the timeframe for the Count Down and it didn't show up, let me know I missed it so I can add it in the following week.

Also, I decided to add a "feature". Since RegularJOE is our boss, if he puts up a collab that shows up on the Count Down, I'll put a red button on it so you know that RECord came from up top.
