As the title suggests, this is the base for the version I'm working on. While the finalized version should include many of the readings that were posted, in this one themetafictionist's reading serves as the lead (with RoboJ's whisper, my reading and aszarkowski's reading somewhere in the background).
The main reason that I'm posting this version is that I totally fell in love with themetafictionist's reading and thought it deserves a version of its own.
This is my original, uncompressed mix. It's a bit more scattered (and possibly more chaotic) than the other one, but it's also more dynamic, and more, well... spacey.
I like this one but I thought it may be too out there for some. Hence the second mix.
(A remastered version can be found in the results)
I've been working on a song for quite some time and kept on having all sort of problems and what-nots with it. Needed to clear my head for a couple of days. So I took this cool instrumental by Noah Richardson and had some fun with it. And it was very therapeutic indeed, I must say. :)
The lyrics were written (and recorded) pretty quickly, the guitar riffs were mostly improvised on the spot and the mix was done pretty hastily as well. The whole thing may be a bit messy, but all in all, I'm quite pleased with it.
We Are Illumination
We're all fractions
Of an endless whole
Just tiny specks of light
But we are the world itself
When we unite
When we mash
We can bring a change
And make it all right
Can you hear
All the voices turn to one
So loud and clear
Lose your fear now
See that light
Feel the change
Join in the fight
We are magical
We are brighter than the sun
We are boundless
We are illumination
Elevation
One big nation
(A better-sounding remastered version can be found in the results)
When I first heard this instrumental by tooantuh, this weird little tune (accompanied by these weird little lyrics) popped into my head. I didn't plan to record it at first, but the thing got stuck in my head for 2 months. So I eventually gave up and recorded it. And then I didn't plan to share it. But now it seems that I am. So... yeah.

After the milkman
(It was her fault he's dead)
And she was never understood
Never in the mood
Never had the money
For a private jet

bellaart's awesome edit, tweaked.
So this just kinda happened...
I stumbled upon The rising 7's REmix of Ryan's instrumental yesterday and seriously loved it (!). I was curious to know how the vox tracks that I recorded would sound on top of it so I did a quick mix (and played around with the vox tracks a bit) - and this is what I ended up with.
Wasn't sure if I should post it, (felt a bit redundant), but it seems that I am... I'll just call this one my tribute to Ryan & ppeppina. :) (And I'm adding a big, loud shout out to The rising 7. Great work, man!).
...oh, and again, please listen with headphones, if possible.
I am supposed to be working on something else by WilliamG, but I've been kinda struggling with that one. When I heard this one, though, I instantly had this tune (and some of the lyrics) running in my head. I finally had a couple of hours last night to record it and do the QUICKEST MIX IN MIXING HISTORY (which doesn't really sound right, but I won't have time to work on it some more in the following week, so it'll have to do for now).
I know that Shane is also supposed to be working on this one. So we'll just call my version "the unofficial one"...
EDIT: A 2nd, more refined mix can now be found in the results
She's been swinging on a rainbow
On a rainbow
On her rainbow
All day
Night and day on her own rainbow
Her own rainbow
On her rainbow she'll stay
She's out
of space and time
Singing a rhyme
The sweetest ever written
Her body's shaking miles away
But she will
Not let her soul be beaten
She's been swinging on a rainbow
On a rainbow
On her rainbow
All day
Night and day on her own rainbow
Her own rainbow
On her rainbow she'll stay
Yes, she's been swinging on a rainbow
On a rainbow
On her rainbow
All day
She's just trying to make the pain go
Make the pain go
Make the pain go away
Finally managed to work some more on my REmix of WilliamG's 'So Sweet'. The previous version was a rough, super-hastily-made mix (that I rushed to release because I knew it would be quite some time until I was able to revisit it). This one, while not really being *drastically* different (or perfect... I don't do perfect), still sounds nicer, I think. The vocal tracks are more properly mixed, and the overall sound is a bit finer. At least to my ears... But I'll let you guys judge for yourselves. x

I had just finished recording backing vocals for a REmix I was working on for Christopher Harn's instrumental, when I saw that Ashes released a REmix of her own. I listened to it, LOVED it, and coudln't help thinking how interesting our two efforts could sound together. I changed my lyrics a bit, finished recording the thing, and did a quick mix using both REmixes. (Thanks again for the stems, Ashes!). And this is the result.
(As always, the mix could probably benefit from some additional work... But this'll do for now :)).
Don’t be afraid
I won’t hurt you
I just wanna play
Come see my monsters
Come on come on come on out and play
Don’t be afraid / You should come out
I won’t hurt you / Come on, come out and play
Those guys with the talons / You and I
And menacing grins / Will give 'em hell
Are just my monster friends
Come come come see my monsters / You won't recall
I won’t hurt you / What happened here today
Come come come and see my monsters / You will never tell
I won’t hurt you
Don’t be afraid
Just a little experiment...
Featuring aszarkowski, Ashes2Ashes & Day Glo (with Metaphorest on Mm-mmm's). Music by Robo_J.
Just made WunderBoy's excellent video a bit snappier/more rhythmic (to make the rhymes more noticable...). =)
Excellent work (as always), Cameron! :D

I haven't REmixed an instrumental piece in a very long time, mainly because I prefer to focus on original material when I have time for music these days. But then I heard this piece by Noah Richardson and I just HAD to do something with it. It's so beautiful and so inspiring... I just hope that I did it justice. (Whether this REmix works for you or not - please DO check out Noah's original piece and show it some well-deserved love!)

Let's compose our own symphony
with our own
made up chords
designed just for you and me
We'll build a home
on unfamiliar grounds
then get our heads
up in the clouds
Sing me your sweet song
Sing it until I wake up
