I'm planning on making a whole party of animals, but I'm not certain how to put an ostrich in a beaded cocktail dress.

papercuts based on that impressive mustache.

i based each of these designs on the shape of a playing card suit.  that spade one took some serious work.  or maybe it was just that i did it at 3am.

yes, that is the don't-pick-me flower, but lucy didn't pick it.  clearly it's magic, as it can smile and unwilt itself, so it temporarily uprooted to come along.  it loves seeing first meetings between soulmates. 

the more i worked on this, the more i wished for more stories with lucy and the girl with the pink umbrella.

i'm working on a tiny film of this, but i'm very new to after effects, so it's taking a little time.  in any case, a reading of the story and some music would be handy if you'd like to contribute something.

proi made the excellent suggestion of a stop-motion bumper incorporating the logo.  i imagine this is the jelly babies before they realize they're doomed to the dinner table.  and that little guy is indeed singing megancarnes' music for the collab.

so i set out to do a stop motion jelly babies logo for the collab, which is the first four seconds here.  then the little jelly babies got carried away and begged for dancing and ukelele.  and how can you deny them?  jamie's design is so durn cute.

i still have the little guys if there are any requests for further mischief.

i treasure my independence, but there's a difference between independence and isolation.  no one can achieve independence on their own, it takes a rich environment to cultivate a person's ability to grow.

i'd love to see a tiny video with this, perhaps starting on the gal on the top and panning out until you can see everyone holding her up.

it is difficult to express just how much i love cacheth's drawings.

a series of papercuttings based on pondergoblin's trapeze video.  i love her poses on the trapeze, and thought that releasing them from gravity might serve the concept of snow falling upward.

bugger takes forever when you have full time work to do.  it's not exactly a full poster, but perhaps someone can use the photo.  i'll probably bring the physical thing along on tuesday as well.

stop-motion papercut of the hitRECord logo.  i really love this quiet moment in ozie's Summer Stars, so i've used a couple chords in the music for this.

i've been planning on doing this for weeks, how glad am i that i didn't get to it til after the logo change!

was going to add the text of the story in the illustration, but no placement or typeface seemed quite right. anyone have a better eye for that?

sway said "paper" so... yeah. :)  i changed the end of the story a bit.  

this is made from paper, paper, more paper, and a little ribbon bow. i'm tempted to do one where she's standing on the moon, looking up at earth too.

a paper-cut collage (just paper, no ink) based on a great drawing by DropDeadSuit.  she puts me in mind of a superhero(ine) out roaming the night with her sidekick The Malign Feline.

i'd love to see more comic-y goodness with her.  what with the kitty of doom, and the umbrella that is obviously a shield when opened and has a blade in the end.  :)

just did a papercutting for swaylooza's tiny story: "I do not fear the monsters under my bed. The monsters I fear, are in my head."

This is mostly papercut on lokta, though I did a little shading of her mouth in photoshop.  I adore this paper - it cuts so gracefully.  Love love.

hand-cut paper silhouettes of a noonday, ombra, a longray, and ombra impersonating a longray (so he can finally see a sunset). it occurs to me that ombra could accomplish his goal by trying to pass himself off as a longray. i'd love to see a video of him attempting to stretch himself out, either by sheer force of will, or hopping to shadow ever taller objects.

i love the in-betweens of proi's flowy lineart.  it makes for nice texture.

a video of a papercut snowflake mobile i made for the snow collab.  two and a half minutes of multiple distances, speeds, and directions.  (i'm personally fond of the one at 0:20)

it's set to "The Carousel of Celestial Lights" by johnnyclyde, because he's awesome, and the song makes the whole thing a little hypnotic to me.

now if only i could actually change my user picture.
