Sorry I have been inactive for the last couple weeks so I haven't been adding to or supporting any rocords that whole time, but I am back and have some catching up to do. I will be adding to this album over the next couple days. Still going through my recommendations :)
Et voilà mes chéris...A compostion of mine: piano, pizzicato strings and ukulele. I asked Mademoiselle Lula to help me with the title and she did, but as I was RE_working on it, I thought of her so I added the ukulele and picked a title with her name in it. Hope you guys will like it ^_^. Again by heart <3
Some visual ideas for Nighstfall. I'm not much an artist with the brush.
This is a scene transition: Night's cloak is a deep bue and has stars glittering in it. The camera pans along until his cape fills the screen and becomes the hair of Darkness. Then on the line "...but Darkness heard", her eyes would spring open and be a really dark blue colour (block colour, not whites/iris/pupil, all one colour). I didn't blend it as much as I wanted: there shouldn't be a visible hairline on her, it should just blend into the blue of her skin.
If there could be a whip of her hair that could then become the hill, with Night inside, and the dawn breaking over it I WOULD DIE OF EXCITEMENT.
a couple nights ago, Chelsea and I were talking on Skype, and she started to sketch with her charcoals, and this is what I heard.
I really liked the sound of the charcoal against the paper, and thought it would make a nice RECord, for any use. Maybe as SFX for a film or something.

My score for the Turnip Head film minus Gary's reading. (The version with the narration is resourced.)
Even though this didn't get picked as the final turnip score, I'm still proud of it & I hope you guys will be able to find some other use for it!

I added more of you howlers into the mix at the end. Still looking for more howlers to contribute! I have a large plan for this song and I can't really get to mixing the finishing touches until I put a cap on the howlers. So. If you want to howl for this song, get on it by the weeks end and don't forget to source the recod so I can find you and source you back in the final product. Planning on putting up a "final" mix on Monday night. At least as far as being ready for sundance goes.
lyrics:
milky skin kissed with moonlight
apple cheeks, pert and flush
strawberry hair, creamy fingers
in the trees a hush
there are wolves in the woods (x4)
Took rejjie's advice and used a wallpaper that didn't totally camouflage the gore. Added a little more depth and drama. Hopefully this looks better.
Testing part of an idea wirrow and I had for a collab about scanning stuff you find around cities you live in/visit, based on the pocket autopsy collab and our personal boxes of treasure. Some of the things could be found anywhere, some are distinctly that city.
this junk I gathered/found/bought in London between 26/12/11 & 04/01/12
With all of the wonderful videos being posted, I got inspired to learn a video editing program and do my first video remix! The beginning could be better, but this is what I envisioned when I heard Wirrow's awesome narrative, and the videos already posted also gave me some ideas. I used the clip suggestions I posted too. I stopped at a minute of footage, so hopefully it can be used for further remixing.
If I continue, I would use 12:42's great earth footage for the last statements of the narrative.
possible title? low res, SORRY! i'll try upload a better one
PORN. But anyway.
First, allow me to apologize for the crappy sound/syncing/editing. My camera's sound randomly dies, and I had to get my friend (during the "The Shining" segment) to re-record some pieces on his own mic, from his house, without reference. I tried to re-dub it and failed. It's spectacularly bad in that section. Which sucks, because it was originally my favorite part. Otherwise, NO EXCUSES. ^_^;;
So! Here are my thoughts on seeing films at the cinema. Which cinemas are great, which aren't, and why. Early cinema-going experiences. Footage from the old drive-in site from when I was a kid, and the sad, closed up concessions stand. My immense collection of ticket stubs from over 20 years ago! Dating at the movies. 3D. 3D porn. Inception shout-out (sort of in a haha way.) People who text during the damn movie.
Mostly, me cracking myself up.
(I'd love to re-record that entire section that got screwed up, but I wanted to get this in under the wire, so only if anyone thinks they might use something like that for anything will I try to redo it [with the nifty new "edit" button, I think?] Otherwise, it's probably going to stay crappy. :) )
And of course, here's the public domain stuff I used:
