I got a lttle frustrated today working on an animation for Monster City, so I decided to take a break and try to animate a possible scene for the Jelly Babies film. I am still a beginner with animating, so I can't do 3D and not comfortable trying different zooming and other effects, but maybe this can still be used. I am not adding sound because it is such a short clip, and if the person who edits the film together uses it then it can be added where they se fit :)
There are two ways that humans can enter Monster City without being in danger of becoming a meal. They must enter into slavery as a monster's pet, or they must wear a very cleaver monster disguise. Along with the disguise they must rub the juice of the monster berry on their skin to cover up the human scent. Once a human has entered in disguise they must tread very lightly. Most monsters don't trust humans, and the carnivorous monsters pay top dollar for prime cuts of human meat. Pet owners must take great care to protect their human pets from thieves.
*Thanks for the images soju and elayne! We need someone to illustrate the monster berry so we can use it in stories and developing this concept :)
Let’s bring matters to light
on what happened that night
and spill the whole bloody affair
a twisted story
which ended quit gory
of when Gretchen married a rodent
and Laurel married a hare
Sisters Gretchen and Laurel
were raised without morals
they wanted money to set them for life,
They married these guys
with dollar signs in their eyes
in their pockets were razor sharp knives
On the honeymoon night
the moon was so bright
their husbands leaned in for a kiss,
thinking next they’d get laid
but it wasn’t the case
their throats were sliced open with blades
and the girls set off to live in comfort and bliss
What the girls didn’t know
was quite a hard blow
their stepsisters lying in waiting
to take their revenge
for steeling their men
shot Gretchen and Laurel
and sent them to Hades
The music is mine and me playing so that is why it is kinda sloppy. I am not a great piano player :)
Thank you for sending this all the way from New Zealand Soju :)
Ever sense he joinded hr at the beginning of this year I have been in love with Soju Shots' illustrations! I really enjoy REmixing his work too! It has challenged and inspired me. I am so excited to have a Soju Shots painting of my own!!! There are loads of artists who's work I love, and I can't say one is better than the other because they are all different, but I think he is my favorite. What I like most about his work is the facial expressions on the subjects faces. They all seem to have such character and I can see their soul. I love the style and materials he uses, and that he makes animals like people. I love the cute and whimsical stuff as well as the dark side of his work. I just feel a strong connection to his art, like a lot of people I am sure. He is very humble and amazing! I will charish this forever and look forward to the day when I can buy more art from him! Sorry the photo is kinda crappy and doesn't do the painting much justice.
If there are any questions about how to buy art from him please ask him. I think you can message him on his facebook page http://www.facebook.com/konbae. I am sure his prices and availability vary, so those details are not something I know, sorry :)
I had some extra settings from some jewelry I was making and had the idea to put some hitRECord art in them and present them as a possible merch idea. These are kinda bad photos and the stuff is incomplete because I ordered glass dome seals to go on top of them. I am not selling these because I have not asked Soju if I can or made any agreement with him. I may or may not do that, but I think something like this would be cool to offerer as part of a collection here :)
